This 2008 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG was first delivered by Mercedes-Benz of Okaland, California with registration shown in Kentucky and now Georgia where it was sold back and forth between two friends since 2019. It currently shows just over 107k miles with a clean Carfax report and 51 service history records. Finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (775) over Exclusive Black/Anthracite Leather (501), power is provided by a 6.2-liter V8 engine mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. Notable options and features include the AMG Sport Package, Bi-Xenon headlamps with curve illumination, heated/ventilated multicontour AMG seats with memory, Adaptive Damping, Harman/Kardon sound, a power glass sunroof, rear heated folding seats, and burl walnut wood veneer. Significant mechanical work has been performed by an independent specialist including serpentine belt/tensioners, pulleys, oil service, thermostat with new coolant, control arm refresh, engine/transmission mounts, axle shafts, transfer case fluid flush, front brakes, flush on front/rear differentials, new injectors, camshaft adjuster rebuild, valve cover gaskets, new lifter buckets, and head bolts all in May of 2024. Additional modifications are custom long tube headers and a Pressertech ECU tune. This ML63 AMG is now offered on behalf of the seller in Marietta, Georgia showing just over 107k miles. The vehicle includes recent service invoices totalling over $23k spent in 2024, factory literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Georgia title.
The exterior is finished in Iridium Silver Metallic (775) and features front fog lamps, a power operated glass sunroof, a heated windshield washer system, and side steps. The AMG bodykit includes revised front and rear bumpers, rocker panels, and fender flares. Heat and UV rejecting nanoceramic tint is applied on the windows and all factory glass is present which is shown in the gallery. Quad-port polished AMG exhaust tips poke out the back with the seller providing ample video demonstrating the sound at idle and on throttle. A full paint correction and ceramic coating was done in preparation for the sale. The body shows in good condition and the seller has provided paint meter readings showing some paintwork on the car. Detailed photos of the body can be seen in the gallery.
The OEM 20” five-spoke wheels wear Delinte Desert Storm DS8 tires measuring 295/40 at all four corners with 2022 date codes. Some curb rash is present. AMG brakes provide stopping power for this W164 with new rotors and pads done in 2024. A control arm refresh was also done in 2024 along with a solid AMG transmission mount, side axle shafts, transfer fluid flush, and new fluid in both differentials.
The cabin is trimmed in Exclusive Black/Anthracite Leather (501) and features Burl Walnut along the center console, dashboard and door panels which show in good condition. The front seats are power operated and include three-position memory and multi-contour function. AMG W164s got their own seats that feature Alcantara shoulder pads, special leather, and deeper bolsters adding much needed comfort over the original seats in non-AMG cars. Additional interior features consist of four-zone automatic climate control, heated folding rear seats, and an aftermarket headunit featuring Sirius XM, Android Auto, Apple Carplay, and much more. One of the adjuster vents for the rear passenger climate vent is shown to be missing. Weathertech floor mats are included along with four original AMG carpet floor mats.
The leather and wood multifunction steering wheel fronts a 200-mph speedometer and 8k-rpm tachometer along with an analog clock and digital gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. A centrally mounted digital display can be configured to show different vehicle data and the digital odometer currently reads just over 107k miles.
This ML63 AMG is powered by a 6.2-liter M156 V8 engine which is factory rated at 503 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through an AMG SpeedShift seven-speed 7G-Tronic automatic transmission. A Pressertech ECU tune was installed on top of the custom built tubular headers paired with high-flow catalytic converters. Pressertech quotes a +20 horsepower and +22 ft/lbs gain with the tune. It will be more than stated numbers with the updated headers. New O2 sensors were also installed. The seller states the check engine light will come on at WOT because of the larger, high flow headers and catalytic converters – the upper O2 sensors meter more air flow because of the modifications and throw the CEL. The light can be turned off by a hand held Autel or equivalent OBD reader. The car passes Georgia emission with the light off and readiness emissions systems are unaffected by the CEL. The following services have been performed by a specialized AMG independent shop:
The Carfax report shows 51 service history reports and linear mileage updates since new. This ML63 AMG is now offered on behalf of the seller showing just over 107k miles. The vehicle includes factory literature, a clean Carfax report, service records with $23k spent in 2024, and a clean Georgia title.
A detailed cold start, driving, and walk-around video are provided by the seller.
If you drive a non-AMG and an AMG W164 back-to-back, you will be shocked at the difference in both feel, build quality, and tightness. In all honesty, they feel like totally different cars – the ML63 more akin to a Cayenne Turbo. Affalterbach really knocked it out of the park with these trucks and only about 800 were sold in the U.S. market making them exceedingly rare. The ML63 AMG wore the crown of most powerful naturally aspirated production SUV at the time and had a 5-second 0-60, a limited slip differential, and an electronically limited top speed of 155-mph. Not bad for a 5,000 pound slab. This ML63, as demonstrated by the provided video, appears to be a riot to drive. Complete with over $23K in work in 2024 alone, including head bolts, this W164 should provide ample smiles while also blowing the doors off a lot of sports cars on the highway leaving only humble pie and a wake of shouty AMG noise. The Pressertech tune and reworked headers means this car must be pushing out close to 540-horsepower. What a machine.

Final day of the auction! A few things to point out: - Extraordinarily clean W164. A lot of these have lived hard lives, but this car has been loved and cared for its entire life. - $23k in work by in the past year including HEAD BOLTS and LIFTER BUCKETS. All M156 engines need this. It's expensive. It has been done. Get in and drive. A turn key AMG. - It has lived in California and below the Mason-Dixon line. Warm climates. No salt roads. I personally do not buy anything from up North. This is a car I would consider purchasing for myself in that instance. - AMG enthusiast owned and comes out of a curated collection - Suspension refresh has been done including control arms - Thorough service records. The owners have been open wallet. This is the only way you want to buy a W164 AMG. - Garage kept example with an excellent interior. Please message me or PM me or comment with any additional questions. I'm available for phone calls too. Thanks and happy bidding.

Everyone, the added video highlights the exhaust work done to the car by DC MotorWerks. You can see it was done right without any janky engineering to put some minds at ease.
An additional video has been added to the auction.
Just touching base with everyone to make sure questions are answered and needs are met. Thanks.

@DaMan Camshafts were in great shape. We do a lot of M156 work, they are one of my favorite engines of all time. Yes we Use the 63 Motorsports kit
@jcd214 Scroll all the way to the top right on desktop or bottom on mobile and you’ll see “Message seller.”
@DaMan I’m stopping by DC MotorWerks who did the work here in about 30 minutes. I’ll ask them when I see them. I’ll tag you when I have an answer. They’re one to flag an issue like that on the M156 and the owner is someone who would replace a cam if it indeed flatspotted. But I’ll check for you.
@Stuttgart_Steel is there a PM function here on TMBM?
@DCMotorWerks how did the cams look when you did the INA lifters? These M156 cams tend to pit and wear on the lobe peaks. Also, which adjuster rebuild kit did you use? 63motorsports?
Good to have @DCMotorWerks in the house! If you have any mechanical questions, these are the guys to ask. They also made a good video on this car, so I’ll get that posted up with The MB Market team as well.
I absolutely adore the W164 and this example I’m especially proud of with all the work we performed and how it turned out. The custom headers were a real chore for my team but my goodness did it make a world of difference. This is how all of them should’ve been originally. Such an angry wonderful thing, an M156 is something everyone should experience. Always told the owner id love to have this one.

@alykozmo They're monsters. It's hilarious they stuck this engine in an ML. Classic AMG insanity.
Such a beast of a car. I had one for a few years, my kids teased me and called it a "mom car"......so I hammered the accelerator, and they got quiet. Ha. Nothing like the angry power of an AMG engine...so good! GLWS
@jcd214 PM me though if you are needing the top end work done. I have a solution that can be cheaper than taking it to a shop if you want to chat.
@jcd214 It's a labor intensive job and the parts aren't cheap. They can do the job with their eyes blindfolded though and I am buddies with the whole crew there. They are good people. Anything with a M156 part number -- the price doubles. Gotta pay to play. My E63 wagon hurts my wallet but these cars are so dang good and worth it. Luckily this ML63 has been completely gone through and shouldn't need big items tended for another 120k miles.
Beautifully presented ML. DC Motorwerks is where Ive been planning to bring my '09 CLS63 P30 for the 100k tear-down. Now I know what I'm in for. Oof.

Hey everyone! Have you ever wanted to own a 500+ horsepower SUV? Well, here's your chance. This ML63 is arguably the nicest one I've interacted with. The AMG W164s feel totally different than a regular ML it's astonishing. This comes out of an AMG enthusiast's collection who is doing a rearrangement to make room for.... more cars, because he's like us and wants to taste everything. The previous three owners were both the current owner and his good friend who kept selling the car to each other since they liked it so much. This example has had an open wallet on maintenance and some rowdy modifications that highlight the M156 engine. A ton of money was poured into this one to make it drive and steer right. Plus head bolts were done too! If you have any questions, hit me up here. The gallery is pretty thorough as is my video and the copy The MB Market provided. If you need raw pictures, I will email them to you so you can blow them up and zoom in. I'm open for showings and phone calls as well. Just PM me -- thanks!
