This is ridiculously cheap. If you are considering bidding and don't, I don't even know how what to say...
@amusicianslife Just do it, dude.😌
Very special car here, folks. Crazy amount of service done to it on our dime. You won't find this again. Nobody else will do No Reserve with that kind of investment.
@Trakcar It's not located in Montana. That's just where the vehicle is titled and registered. Vehicle is located here at our dealership in El Paso, TX.
Guys, you will not find a more well sorted W108 on a No Reserve auction... Don't lose your chance to bid. Don't let someone steal it from you. Don't miss out...
@LikemallCorrect, guys; this is a no reserve listing. Has been since day 1!
Hi folks. Here's a link to a cold start video just filmed a few minutes ago. https://youtu.be/bs18uAUBqv0 Thanks. :)
@thegreg92Ah! Nice and close! Always great to work with Phoenix folks. I love the city. We don’t have any one specific shipper that we work with, but we would be absolutely happy to help with arranging the shipping for you. We would post the job on central dispatch where all carriers and truckers have access to pick up the job. We do vet the transporters before confirming the job, to make sure they’re the right fit.
https://youtu.be/SKxByD2oXQs For easier and quicker reference for all, please use this link to view the AC, windows, and radio working.
@TorvaltThere's no "lack of response". It may come as a surprise to you, but we are not just waiting at the computer 24/7 to answer all of your questions at the drop of a hat. We also have other cars and business to attend to, as well as personal lives., and we are doing the best that we can. I don't appreciate the accusation of there being a "lack of response". I have answered literally every question that you have asked, including the private messages you have sent. Keep in mind also, that this auction has been live for nearly 10 days, and I believe you just started asking questions within the last 2 days or so. Again, all of which have been answered. There's been plenty of time for questions and responses. As to your statement "One last note it’s been described as Pennsylvania only an excuse for Montana plates", I honestly don't even know what you're trying to say here, but I'll attempt to answer it anyway. The vehicle came from Pennsylvania and currently has a clean Montana title. Vehicle titles and registration change all the time. Also, in your detective work on Bring a Trailer, did you happen to even see who the buyer at $28k was? Go look again. It was Prickly Pear Auto Club. Us... Again, absolutely no clue what you're referring to with "Texas and disappearing cars and titles". In all truth, I'm not even sure what you're asking or referring to at this point. In regards to windows working, here's a video from our last auction for this car that shows all of the windows working: https://youtu.be/SKxByD2oXQs I'll do my best to get a cold start video up with only hours to spare in this 10-day auction, but no guarantees. Finally, I'll say that if you're so suspicious of this car and of us, a licensed Texas dealer who has owned this car for nearly a year now, then perhaps this car just isn't for you. You should feel comfortable about a car before you bid. If you don't, then don't bid. Other people will, and the next owner will be extremely happy with this extremely well sorted W108. Thank you.
@jrmedselHello! And thanks for the compliment. She most certainly is beautiful, and the color combo is incredibly striking. Pictures don't do her justice. In person, this car is even more stunning than the photos. Correct, just the levers are broken. The actual valves can be moved freely with a tool, such as a screw driver. Heat and AC work excellent.
@tennisraviAlso, it is not Grey. Its brown and shows up brown on the photos that I'm looking at.
@tennisraviAs I mentioned to you in the private messages you have sent me, it appears to be some sort of leatherette material that could very well be from the factory. Since the car is 55 years old and not a concourse car, it has some imperfections, such as this material being loose. The next owner can decide whether or not this is an issue for them.
@72Driver @Classicalgenius @MHY82 Hopefully you three guys are watching, as you all were in the race for it last time. This time it's No Reserve, so one of you could definitely take her home this time. :)
Folks, just chiming in here. This time we're going NO RESERVE on this tremendous vehicle, so she will soon have a new owner to love and care for her. I've said this before, but I'll say it again, you will be very hard pressed to find a W108 that has had more recent service than this one. Nearly $15,000.00 since the end of 2023 to now. Basically all the major stuff has been addressed. Also, I believe this to be a rare color combination, and a striking one at that. So elegant and regal, the way a W108 should be. In person, this thing looks like a million bucks, and so will you when you're driving it. It turns heads constantly, wherever it is taken. And the vehicle performs wonderfully and rides like a cloud. You will absolutely love it. Thanks, guys.
@Edward22 Do it! You'll be extremely hard pressed to find one that has had more recent service than this one.
@LPS2Indeed, yes. And a somewhat rare one at that.
This is a gorgeous car. Tough crowd. Market is horrible right now. I know the feeling.
Sad. We weren't even close to the reserve on this one.
Last hour here, folks. Be sure to get your bids in. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own one of the prettiest W108s you'll find. And certainly one of the most extensively serviced.
@Robertlnm Thank you! Indeed it is beautiful. We are a dealer.
Haha, was wondering when that bid would come in. Let me know if you folks have any questions. This is a very special car.
Thanks for the compliments, guys! She truly is a dream. This is an extremely well sorted W108, as well, with the tremendous amount of service and maintenance done to it this year alone. Whomever ends up with her will extremely happy.
@Kcjohn8325 Let me reach out to MB Market and ask them if they can connect us.
@elpasoben Hello! Cool to see a fellow El Pasoan on here! Of course you can see her in person! I’m currently out of town, but will be back before the weekend. Use the Message Seller button in this listing to reach out privately and we’ll exchange contact info and set something up for before the end of the auction. Thanks!
@BrianMotoring Thanks for the question! I’m only going off of the information in that particular service record that occurred before we took inventory of the car, so I can’t say for sure, but I would say that service record probably just says serpentine belt as a general description (maybe limited by the mechanics software?). Because if you read beyond that, it does state that they replaced 3 “drive belts”.
@Kcjohn8325 Yes.
@Lamez2054 Sent you an e-mail!
Really soft market. Unless we can make a deal with the highest bidder, we’ll just hang onto this until Spring time or sell locally. Thanks for bidding, everyone.
Don’t let this slip away. There won’t be low mileage, clean history examples around forever…
Last half hour here, guys. This one is as clean as they get. Don’t miss out on this absolute gem!
We are an inch away from the reserve price, guys. Don't miss out on this...
Here we are in the final hour, folks. Again, this is a super rare vehicle here in the states, as well as extremely practical and fun! Don’t miss your chance to own this awesome van. You won’t find another one.
What a gorgeous interior!!
Hey guys! Wanted to chime in here to share some thoughts on this ML500. This is a super clean example of the V8 powered W164. It's also presented in the fairly rare AMG Sport Package, which is really cool. Super low mileage for the platform and age. You regularly see these ran through with 250k+ miles, but not this one. Quite frankly, you're going to be hard-pressed to find a cleaner, more desirable ML500 with this low of mileage. The truck runs fantastic, just as you would imagine. It feels and even smells new. Like the ad states, these things will run forever, especially when well cared for like this one has been. Bid with confidence, guys, because examples as clean as this one don't pop up too often. And I know whomever takes this home is going to absolutely love it.
Hey guys! Just wanted to chime in here on this auction for this super cool V230. As I've stated in my video, the van is in excellent condition mechanically speaking. It drives great! I've also got the interior more well sorted than when I bought it. Also, and most importantly, I got the AC working and it cools very nicely now. I made many drives in this thing in the dead of summer here in El Paso, so I can certainly vouch for it, haha. Whomever ends up with this next is really going to enjoy it. I certainly have. It's such an interesting vehicle, and it's been a great experience to learn a facet of Mercedes-Benz that we never got to see here in the USA. If you're a true Mercedes-Benz enthusiast, you'll understand the value and intrigue of this van, just as I have. :)
@Jrad1600 Agreed, but it happens. Oh well. This is probably a better platform for this vehicle anyway. I think it'll receive more of the proper attention here than it did on BaT. And yes, indeed, it is extremely rare in the USA! You will NOT come across another one of these in the wild. Only way you'd come across another is if you intended on meeting up with that other owner!
@Jrad1600 It is sweet! Thank you! Yes, the buyer did in fact back out. Went silent for a few days after our first discussion after him winning, and then finally got back to me saying it was an impulse buy and it didn't meet his needs after all and he wasn't going to follow through. It was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The van is great. :)
Oh man, this thing is awesome!😍
Let me know. Did MB Market send you my contact information?
Ah, didn't meet reserve? I didn't even notice! Bummer...
Lol, same here.
Can you hear/feel the AC compressor kick on, but it's just not blowing cold?
Also: 1. What is that flapping in the wind near the windshield wipers in the driving videos? It's hard to make out. 2. Can you post a picture of the VIN please? I don't see one in the ad. Thanks!
Any fluid leaks anywhere? Oil, brake fluid, antifreeze, etc.? Air conditioner blows cold?
Any idea what happened to the trim on the drivers side part of the windshield?
Can you provide a Car VX report since this is a JDM vehicle? The Carfax provides no information on the vehicle prior to its import to the USA.
Looks like either the vehicle pulls to the left or the steering wheel is incorrectly positioned to the right. Any chance a wheel alignment can be done at Sellers expense prior to delivery?
