This 1994 Mercedes-Benz 280TE was originally sold as a Japanese-market car before being imported to the States in 2020. The car was sold on The MB Market in 2023 to the prior owner and subsequently acquired by the seller in August 2023. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Black Fabric (001), power is provided by a 2.8-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory equipment includes power adjustable front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a 60/40 split-folding second row and a rear-facing third-row bench seat. Modifications consist of AMG bodywork, Evo-style wheels and lowered suspension. Now showing 107k km (~67k miles), this JDM 280TE is offered for sale by the current owner with the factory tool kit, first aid kit, a clean Carfax report and a clean Texas title.

@Mrengineer do you really want it?
@Orange911 thanks a lot. im grateful to have a fully OEM amg kitted s124 in 040. I do like the brilliant silver though.
LOL. Man could have let me win it :(. My plan was to use this as an excuse for a one way trip to Austin motoGP and an epic roadtrip back to Chicago... Im sad...
Let's see if this will reach the $21k final price it reached in the BaT sale.

@ekstarr This is not an AMG kit per the BAT auction it was recently on. The only part that has an accessible part number, I think, is the front bumper. All the others are most likely hard to view. If this was a real AMG, the dealer would have included the kit numbers or individual part numbers. If you look below the headlight on the passenger side, you can see that the gaps are slightly off. I can't tell from the pictures, but the rear bumper cover appears to be molded into the bumper (all 1 piece). Real AMG used parts are around $5-6k for a wagon. The rear bumper being the hardest since it is unique to a wagon.
Hi. Very late to this auction, any idea of shipping agents who to talk to regarding shipping this car to the UK?

Do we know if this has the biodegradable wiring harness? Can we get images of the condition of the wiring harness.
@ekstarr all the paperwork and the receipts are in Japanese The kit lines up perfectly and it looks authentic

Can you confirm this is an oem AMG body kit, not an after market replica?

@KalleRiccar Hello there sir Thank you for an Awesome unique car ,very well taken care of , Made sure to treat it the same way. I had alot of fun driving it around on weekends this past year, put a little over 3k miles on it ,everyone loved it! It gets more attention than my bike does! If i have the space for it this will for ever be in my collection. I will miss it ,hopefully not regret selling it And will Only let it go for what its worth!

I’m the previous owner. This is a great car! We really miss it. It always got a lot of attention. Driving around and at shows- you have to be ready to wave and honk back. This car ran great and we loved driving it. I only sold it because we were out of room and something had to go. Bid away- you will not be disappointed…. Unless I buy it back.
@Frenchfelgen 🙏
@HammerEd thank you for having such a good taste! The spare tire never been used ,The car is spotless by all means + the interior smells spectacular RHD is unique and gets alot of attention
@SBenton thanks alot man! The amg kit does make it look special Love a positive feedback!
@CraigSu it is indeed a factory cd changer ,radio also comes with a full functional remote controller Text, graphics, icons on stalk control is in English. To answer your question on the coil overs when my father changed my break pads, he mentioned that they are adjustable . I just loved it the way it is now !
Nice looking S124 ! in Japan a desired upgrade for these cars is the 7.5" width EVO II wheels, as opposed to the regular 8.25" width evo IIs. Fits perfect. Considering the tire size this car has the 7.5" wheels, really really hard to find outside of Japan ! GLWTA seller !
$8,000 bid placed by @HammerEd
Beautiful car to every detail. Interior looks pristine, zinc plating in the engine bay is still gold and even the spare is spotless clean. Whoever buys is is taking home a jewel, GLWTA!

Very sweet ride! When you consider the cost of a 124 wagon today and an AMG kit alone there's a lot of value. Looks clean as well! Cheers

A few questions: Is that the factory CD changer behind the back seat? On the left side of the front license plate area, is that a sensor wire that's visible (it resembles a zip tie)? Is the text/graphics on the stalk controls in Japanese/English/Icons? If the new owner wants to change the stance how is the coilover height adjusted? Thanks and GLWTA!
