Here is the YouTube video when Kent Bergsma first acquired my 420SEL known as "Bruno" https://youtu.be/wOf4gd_bIok?t=114
Kent Bergsma that owns MercedesSource in Washington state was the previous owner of this car he named "Bruno." He's a world-famous Mercedes specialist that's designed many of the replacement systems for these older Mercedes. Had I not just purchased the last 126 in this same color combo (1985 500SEL) on the MB Market, I'd be bidding here. The dash and woodwork tell the story of a car that has not been left out in the sun. Look at that instrument cluster! One of the reasons I'm a fan of the first generation of 126 (81-85 in USA) is the leather interior and seat stitching. This example gives you that classic style/feel while also offering the updates that pay dividends down the road (ex: wheel size that actually allows you to purchase replacement tires by brands such as Continental/Michelin/Dunlop etc and a more fuel efficient V8). For the purist out there; you can purchase the period correct Becker (and while you are at it have updated on the back end to BlueTooth) radio which I feel would make this car fit in at a concourse event or MB club section get together. Heck, I'm tempted to bid on it anyway. Good luck to all involved.
Excellent presentation for a very nice example. Such a stately look to this W126.

Beautiful car with an awesome Brazil Brown interior. I have an 87 with 96k miles. Mine just underwent a fuel system overhaul as well. Gotta say, these have aged so well!
