

This 1997 Mercedes-Benz SL600 was sold and registered to the first owner in New York in November of 1997. It remained in New York through 2011 until it appears the car was moved to Florida for winter use and ultimately re-registered in Florida. The current owner has had it registered in Tennessee since acquiring the car in 2021. It shows 41k original miles. Finished in Black (040) over Exclusive Black & Grey Leather (561), power is provided by a 6.0-liter V12 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory equipment includes a removable hardtop in Black (040), a black power soft top, Xenon headlamps, remote central locking, heated seats, automatic climate control and a Bose stereo. The included Carfax report shows 23 service history entries, the majority of which were performed by Mercedes-benz dealers. The 16” OEM alloy wheels have been fitted with a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 tires measuring 225/55 with 2019 date codes. The standard Adaptive Damping System provides driver-selectable ride height and stiffness. Additional standard equipment includes ASR slip control and ESP stability control.
The cabin is upholstered in Exclusive Black & Grey Leather (561) with a contrasting upper dashboard and Burl Walnut wood trim which lines the center console, gear selector, steering wheel and door panels. Both seats are heated with 10-way power adjustability and three-position memory. Additional interior amenities include a power tilt/telescope steering column, automatic climate control, cruise control, a pop-up roll bar, a 6-speaker Bose audio system, a trunk-mounted 6-disc CD changer, and a rebuilt Becker head unit with bluetooth. A new rear view mirror was installed under the current owner’s care due to a faulty original.
A wood/leather steering wheel fronts analog instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, fuel economy, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The digital odometer currently shows 41k miles from new.
This R129 roadster is powered by a 6.0-liter M120 V12 engine which is rated for 389 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.
