This 2000 Mercedes-Benz SLK230 Sport Kompressor was delivered new at Mercedes-Benz of Littleton in April 2000 and subsequently sold as a Certified Pre-Owned Mercedes-Benz to the second owner as it remained in the Virginia/Pennsylvania area through 2021. Finished in Yellowstone (685U) over Black leather (221), this R170 SLK is powered by a 2.3-liter supercharged 4-cylinder power plant mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Features include AMG styling with sculpted bumpers and side skirts along with a Lorinser rear decklid spoiler, power-folding hardtop, heated seats, automatic climate control, CD changer and rear wind deflector. Recent work includes a new battery, new trunk actuators, K40 relay, new coil packs plugs and wires, and new mass airflow sensor. The odometer presents only 62k original miles. This manual Yellowstone SLK is now offered by the seller with the original window sticker, stamped service book, factory books and literature, radio code cards, two keys, original tool roll, jack, spare tire, first aid kit, digital “Star” service manual, and a clean Carfax report.
The body is finished in Yellowstone (685U) and is free of any rust or corrosion. Exterior features include headlamp washers and a power-retractable hardtop with an electrically heated rear window. A video showing the power folding hardtop operation is viewable below. This example also has a dealer-installed Lorinser rear decklid spoiler with Lorinser stamping on the underside. All of the Yellowstone paintwork is original and the panel gaps are all even and symmetrical. Accordingly, the Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage. Paint meter readings verifying the original paint condition are viewable in the gallery below. The front end is free of rock chips or other imperfections as this car wore a front end clear bra from new until 2021 when it was professionally removed. A small scuff is present on the front driver’s bumper and viewable in the gallery and walkaround video.
The staggered 17” AMG monoblock 5-spoke wheels are specific to the Sport Package and wrapped in newer Starfire WR tires measuring 225/45 up front and 245/40 in the rear. The OEM wheels still retain their factory machined lips and painted faces.
The interior is trimmed in Black leather (221A) with matching black carpets, dash and center console. The leather hides on both bucket seats are heated and in good condition. Additional features include manual climate control, cruise control, cup holders, and the factory Mercedes-Benz radio with hidden cassette and trunk-mounted CD changer. The entry/skid plates and pedals wear OEM metal sport trim with black rubber accents. Carbon fiber trim adorns the center console, air vents, and doors with no cracks or other visible imperfections in the carbon fiber. The rubberized interior trim paint has been refreshed with OEM anthracite color from the manufacturer (VLC). SLK-branded OEM rubber mats are installed and included with the sale.
The four-spoke Sport leather wrapped steering wheel sits in front of a gauge cluster displaying a 160-mph speedometer, 7k-rpm tachometer, and additional readouts for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads just over 62k original miles. A digital clock and outside temperature gauge are also present.
The ‘Kompressor’ supercharged 2.3-liter 4-cylinder powerplant is rated at 185-hp and 200 lb-ft of torque from the factory. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. The M111 features a roots-style M62 Eaton supercharger and an air to air intercooler. This SLK comes with a recent service history which includes a new battery, new trunk actuators, K40 relay, new coil packs, plugs and wires, and new mass airflow sensor. The factory rear taillight recall item has already been completed on this example.
This manual Yellowstone SLK is now offered by the seller with the original window sticker, stamped service book, factory books and literature, radio code cards, two keys, original tool roll, jack, spare tire, first aid kit, digital “Star” service manual, and a clean Carfax report showing linear mileage updates over the car’s lifetime and no accidents or other damage.

One hour to go! Im here to answer any additional questions through the end. Bid with confidence - this is an excellent, original SLK with all the right options, history and service. Good Luck!
@ariotofmyown Okay, thanks for the quick response.
@kk120 - Thanks for your question. The CF trim is in excellent condition. No cracks, delamination or imperfections that I can see anywhere. Have a look at the close up photos in the gallery which hopefully shows how nice the CF trim looks. Thanks and happy bidding!
@seller... Nice looking example. How is the condition of the Carbon Fiber trim? Thank you.
Love the muscular AMG Sport body kits on these SLKs. Such a huge improvement vs. the non-sport ones. Looks really great with the carbon interior and metal door sills too. A perfectly specced SLK, in my opinion. Wish I had room for it! Good luck to seller!

Good morning everyone and welcome to the final day of the auction! I’ve received a lot of direct messages from bidders asking specific questions about the car so I thought it would help to share some of that info with the rest of the group before the end of the auction: The car has been serviced thoroughly and the misfire that was noted in the service records is completely cured following the replacement of the MAF sensor and the coil pack/plugs. Accordingly, this SLK drives/performs perfectly and has no discernible needs, no leaks, no fault codes, no check engine or other lights and no other outstanding/evident issues whatsoever. To be sure of this, I had my mechanic go over the car thoroughly when we corrected the misfire and he did not find any necessary repairs or outstanding service items needed. These I-6 engines are incredibly reliable and are known to go forever with minimal repair/maintenance. The A/C works wonderfully and blows cold. The heater works perfectly and blows hot. The top functions perfectly, the windows work smoothly, and all other accessories function as originally intended. The clutch on this example is excellent and shifts into gear smoothly and confidently. Talk to any manual R170 owner (or just visit the SLK forums) and you’ll soon discover that clutch replacement intervals on these SLK230s is well over 100k miles… so there's more than enough life left in this one at only 62k miles. The car is registered, insured and on the road without any smog/emissions problems. The tiny I6 engine should have no issues passing California smog, in my opinion, but it would of course be wise to check for yourself if you live in CA. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions - I'll try to make myself available throughout the day to ensure I can respond to everyone. This is a really nice SLK with no known issues and will surely make the next owner very happy – so bid confidently! Thanks and Good Luck!
These things are such an incredible bargain right now. I cant think of another car (let alone a Mercedes) that you can get with a manual transmission, supercharged engine, hardtop convertible and a cool color w/low miles under $20k. Especially in this insane used car market. This looks like a nice one too, so I'll be watching. GLWA!
