This 2002 Mercedes-Benz ML55 AMG was sold new in October 2001 and driven for a year in California before being offered by the Mercedes-Benz dealer in Honolulu, Hawaii as a Certified Pre-Owned example. The ML remained in Hawaii through 2017 when it was brought back to California and then purchased by the current owner and seller Maryland in 2021. This AMG W163 is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Black Exclusive leather (561A) and is powered by a 5.4-liter V8 driving all four wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes facelift-specific xenon headlamps behind projector lenses, 18″ AMG wheels, the original AMG sculpted body kit, power-adjustable heated front seats, cruise control, navigation, Bose audio, and a lockable safe box located beneath the front passenger seat. The seller has included $13k of records and receipts showing regular service under ownership. This ML55 AMG shows 36k miles and is now offered by the seller with a spare tire and cover, rear cargo cover, factory literature, two keys with a safe box key, service records, a recent Carfax report, and a clean Maryland title.
This iconic Mercedes SUV is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and is equipped with an AMG body kit consisting of sculpted bumpers, side skirts, wheel arch flares, and AMG-stamped twin exhaust outlets. Also specific to the AMG variants is the factory hood showing AMG “Power Domes.” Additional exterior features include bumper-integrated fog lamps, xenon headlamps with projector lenses and heated washers, a power sunroof, roof rails, and wing mirror with integrated LED’s. The Carfax report shows minor damage to the front bumper in 2016 with little information given as to specifics.
Factory five-spoke 18″ AMG wheels wear Continental CrossContact tires measuring 285/50 on all four corners and show 2021 date codes. Braking is provided by factory painted red calipers clamping discs at all four corners.
The cabin features seats upholstered in Black Exclusive leather (561A) along with matching door panels and carpets. Wood veneer accents the center console, doors, and steering wheel. Equipment includes power-adjustable heated front seats, driver’s seat memory, cruise control, automatic climate control, COMAND with navigation, Bose audio, and a lockable safe located beneath the front passenger seat. All front and rear headrests are included and the rear cargo area is equipped with the factory spare tire, cover, first aid kit, jack, and cargo cover. The original floor mats included are embroidered with ML55 AMG. All electronics reportedly function as designed including A/C and heat.
The wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel frames white instrumentation consisting of an AMG-branded 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. Digital readouts for outside temperature and time are located on each side with all pixels in working order. The digital odometer shows 36k miles with approximately 4k miles added by the owner and seller.
The 5.4-liter M113 V8 produced 342 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission and an oil and filter change was recently performed. The most recent service shown was a steering pump replacement in 2022 with records including more than $13k of service by the current owner under ownership. Additional underbody photos are provided in the gallery below detailing the condition of the suspension components and some corrosion noted on the underside of the ML.

Not too bad!! It got more money here than on BAT just a few weeks prior. Proof that MB Market could become THE place to sell your special Mercedes.
Congrats to the winner! Very nice example. Where are you shipping it to? Or are you local?
I was 20 minutes late getting home If the deal falls through please let me know I'm interested

@anomadtoo That totally looks like heat shrinkage on the rubber weatherstripping. Ive had that happen to me on other MLs I've owned in the past.

Thank you for your comments. My intention was to keep the car long term, hence why I decided to get all the issues rectified. But after driving it for some time, I came to the conclusion that I’d rather drive my other cars. So instead of holding on to a vehicle I seldom drive, I decided it’s time to sell it. There is no issue with the transfer case, and there is no shudder or noise when turning the steering wheel lock to lock. These are two videos that were shot by the previous owner. Aside from adding 4k miles, changing the wheels, and lots of recent service, this is still a very accurate representation of the vehicle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksohwt7SD6w&t=4s https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0ca-7UNBLc&t=1s

How is the transfer case? When turning the wheel to full lock left and right and completing and full circle, is there any shudder or noise? I use to work for Mercedes and it was a problem over time with the ML320, ML350, ML430, ML500 & ML55. Very interested in this one.. Cheers.
