Hello @biglive, would you mind elaborating why the car didn't sell in June? I feel that knowing why the buyer backed out would put potential buyers at ease; especially if it wasn't the car's fault.
Beast.
Nice, thank you! So are we looking at approx. 580hp and 526tq to the wheels? Or is it approx. 780hp (and no tq reading) to the wheels? Either way, this baby MOVES.
@TheLavskiAwesome! Looking forward to this one.
@Mercedesml, thank you for the response. I guess there is no way to open the valve cover in search for "AMG" camshaft stamps. Maybe? Thank you, again, beautiful 16V!
@SwissBlissWe must be related because mine called from the afterlife and left me a voicemail: "Tell seller he still has time to find a local dyno and get some actual numbers. Often times actual figures are lower than what you were told when you bought the car".
Hi seller, lovely machine! Aside from cosmetic upgrades, the only performance enhancements performed by AMG are bigger brakes and exhaust. Correct? Thank you!
Hello, is there documentation to attest this 190E was modified by AMG-Japan once delivered? Thank you.
I concur with @MikeOscarZebra; the prevalence of "AMG'd" or "overland" modifications on many early G's has made it increasingly uncommon to come across pristine, unaltered specimens such as this one.
Man, these are so quirky, rare and beautiful at the same time. Even rarer in this color. After owning a handful W163 (two ML55) I started searching for another one and it pains me this one is so far away from me....grrrrrrrrr! Super cool truck; you won't need luck selling it :)
Thank you @NYCdriver According to MBUSA's October 2015 press release for the 2016 SL63, the optional AMG high-performance Carbon Ceramic braking system, offered "immense stopping power, featuring 15.8” discs up front with six-piston fixed calipers and 14.2” discs at rear with four-piston fixed calipers.". This while "reducing unsprung weight by 40% percent versus a conventional steel setup." Greetings to all Mercedes-AMG enthusiasts! I'm thrilled to introduce this 14K-mile SL63 AMG for your consideration. This exceptional vehicle hails from the collection of a dedicated AMG enthusiast, sharing garage space with other fine Affalterbach machinery like the S63 AMG Coupe, SLS AMG, and more. Meticulous ownership, coupled with regular maintenance, has allowed this example to maintain its low mileage while presenting as if brand new. Every aspect of the vehicle exudes a "new" aura, with original finishes intact on all surfaces. The 10-spoke wheels, displaying their original finish, remain free of scratches or pitting. The ceramic treatment inside the wheel barrels has prevented any accumulation of dust or road grime, leaving them looking pristine. The interior even retains that distinctive "new Mercedes" scent. Needless to say, all functions, from the panoramic hard top to the air conditioning and seat features, operate flawlessly. To ensure a seamless transition to a new owner, this car has undergone a fresh oil/filter service, received a new OEM battery, and even new batteries on both key fobs. As indicated in the listing, I am a dealership owner in the state of Florida, and for out-of-state buyers, I will provide all necessary paperwork for easy registration. Florida residents can expect sales tax and state's title/tag/registration fees, as required by law, to be collected, with the added convenience of having the title, tax, and registration processed on their behalf. Notably, there are no dealership or doc fees charged to anyone at any time. For added convenience, a temporary tag, valid for 30 days across the USA, will be included at no cost, allowing you to enjoy your car immediately upon arrival. If transport assistance is needed (buyer's cost), I am happy to facilitate enclosed transport directly to your doorstep through some of the industry's top transport companies. I welcome and encourage pre-purchase inspections and test drives. Feel free to message me directly to schedule a private showing. Thank you, and have a fantastic weekend. MercedesDad
Beautiful car. This would steal the show here in FL.
Wow. Beautiful G!

The owner of this vehicle is a long-term MBCA member and Concours judge, known for taking absolute care of his vehicles, regardless of the cost. This is why this example looks, and likely performs, as a 30K-mile car. Bid with confidence.
Could you please comment on the scope of recent service performed to the air suspension? How long does it have to sit before starting to sag? Thank you.
M113-Powered G500 with tons of records for the price of a fancy golf cart. Guess which one offers higher ROI.
Looks great for its age!
Definitely NOT a psychic @KingKitty ha ha. Better yet, the seller enjoyed this machine for 2-3 years + 8K miles and the car barely depreciated; meaning he virtually drove it for free :)
Badass wagon. Color only adding to its subtlety to (maybe) fly under the radar :) I've owned roughly a dozen M156-powered AMG's including my CLK63 AMG Black Series "racecar" and ML63 AMG "tow truck". Both "high" miles. I've never had a major issue, or met anyone who has.
Perfect to move around town in safety and comfort. But that engine bay .... man...
@wnhorrellThank you, usually there are videos of the top's operation on convertibles. Can you confirm the top works as it should with no leaks at this time?
@wnhorrell How about prior to your ownership? Anything on the records that may show those have been refreshed? Is it fair to assume the records from the prior auction are also included? Thank you.
A handful of questions, if you don't mind: - Is the center vent control trim sticky? It may seem so on picture No. 37. - Could you please post more detailed photos of the condition of the front bumper? - Same with undercarriage photos, if possible. - Have the roof hydraulics been refreshed recently or are they still original? - Finally, what are the date codes on the tires? Thank you.
Any receipts pointing to later refreshment of roof hydraulics? Thank you.
Beautiful machine. The S55 AMG is fast, but the S65 AMG is on a whole-different-planet fast. And smooth. This is the second-lowest mileage example I have ever seen.
Very nice example. Awe-inspiring presence wherever they go.
Good news is, not everyone lives in California :)
Thank you MB Market and everyone else for your bids and comments!
Only 12K miles. Virtually *new* G63 AMG.
100% original paint. No modifications.
Serviced at the dealership since new.
New brake pads, brake fluid flush, oil, filters, sunroof service.
New Pirelli Scorpio tires all around.
Full ceramic coat treatment.
@TroymaciasThank you for the kind words Sir. They mean a lot to us.
Good morning, Last day for this superb example of a W463 G63 AMG. A vehicle destined to become a classic with later Geländewagen generations morphing into softer, electric versions of this very fast tank. We ship cars across the US and overseas, so feel free to contact me for enclosed-shipping options. I will log-in periodically throughout the day to address last-minute questions; if any. Happy bidding! You will not be disappointed.
@Mmelinger Sure thing. Build sheet has need uploaded to MBMarket's system. Should be available shortly.
@meziks I just sent 13 or 14 undercarriage photos to MBMarket; should be visible shortly. Not a spec of rust anywhere; it retains all factory tags and torque markings. Factory cosmoline is still present.
@MikaThank you Sir. That was a special CLK63 Black Series.
I'm out. Enjoy the rims guys!
@meziksGood morning , Per your request, this is a link to the driver's POV video during the G63 fire up. You can read the 12,121-mile odometer, all dash lights in good working order, and hear a couple gentle taps of the gas pedal. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlOc-tIbclM (You might need to copy/paste the link on your browser to watch the video)
@meziksOf course! Even better, I will take a video of the instrument cluster as I start the G63. You will see the odometer and all the lights working during the start up process. I will also work on getting the other pictures you requested. I might have to do those over the weekend, but I'll get them for you.
Hello Mercedes Gelandewagen enthusiasts, Welcome to my 12K-mile, 2014 G63 AMG auction. This is a super-clean example with cosmetics that reflect its exceptionally low mileage and coddled life in the southern United States; it even retains its “new Mercedes” smell. No rust anywhere on this vehicle and, aside from ceramic tint on the front windows (removable, should its new owner prefer), it remains in 100% original condition. Beyond cosmetics, its Vehicle Master Inquiry (VMI; included with the vehicle) speaks for a G63 that has been effectively maintained by Mercedes-Benz its entire life. Everything works as intended. From a powerful air conditioning and massaged chairs to its three fully locking differentials. Speaking of maintenance, this G63 AMG was sent to Mercedes-Benz of Bonita Springs (FL) in preparation for sale, where it received the following: - Multi-point inspection and road tests. - New synthetic oil and fleece filter. - Sunroof service and lubrication. - New OEM wiper blades. - New OEM cabin filter. - New OEM brake pads. - Brake fluid flush. - Performed Recall No. 2017060004. I didn’t think it needed it but the dealership volunteered to install a brand-new steering gear universal joint, so “why not!” With regards to tires, it bugs me that every time I buy a super-low mileage G63, it usually comes with factory Yokohama Advan tires. It is not only unsafe older rubber but its performance is underwhelming (in my humble opinion) under a fast tank like the G63. - Accordingly, this G63 received a new set of Pirelli Scorpio tires all around. Balanced and aligned. Receipts for all this work included with the vehicle. - And finally, ceramic coating was applied to the entire vehicle to protect its factory finish and make it easier to keep clean. Included with the sale: - Interior car cover. - Complete set of owners' manuals. - Factory tool kit. - Two factory key fobs. - Service history since new. Please contact me here or privately with any questions regarding this vehicle. I will assist with shipping by enclosed trailer all over the country and even overseas. Please send me a private message for quotes. Thank you and have a great evening!
Oooops! My Bad I saw one photo in the mix. Sorry.
Good morning. Would you mind posting pictures of the back of the center caps? Thank you in advance.
Oh yeah. They work on a 126.
@bzcat CarFax shows vehicle was imported to USA two weeks after being purchased by its first owner. Therefore, mileage is most likely accurate.
Beautiful and fully functional, like everything Renntech. A few thoughts come to mind: - These have been discontinued for 2-3 years; largely due to Covid shutdowns that put suppliers out of business. - Renntech made a one-off *GEN II* box in late 2022. They may (or may not) offer it to the general public later on. - This box may not fit a CLK63 Black Series. Buyers considering that application may want to check vertical clearances as factory strut bar runs right on top of the box. Ask me how I know. - Renntech tune, highly recommended to get the most out of this air box.
I thought so. No way this nice example was worth $8K.
Screaming deal at this rate.
@BenzBuffFULL TRANSARENCY : The hiccup at the end of this auction is 200% on me and I apologize for any inconvenience because of this. In the heat of the moment, I lifted the reserve (or so I thought), then wrote two comments to that effect. With only 4 seconds left, however, I realized that my attempt to lift the reserve from MBMarket site had not gone through (bad internet or operator's error on me; not MBMarket) and run out of time while trying to fix the issue. While I wasn't thrilled to sell this machine for so little, I had given my word that it would sell to the high bidder and it was my obligation to honor it, whether it showed on MBMarket site or not. I immediately called MBMarket and within seconds they were on the phone with the high bidder, confirming that he had won the car. But then I learned that he asked for additional concessions from MBMarket or me to buy it. His point (a valid one), that he was not obligated to accept the terms of the auction since MBMarket site did not show the car as "Sold". Faced with the options of offering more discounts on a hard-to-replace vehicle, or not making a sale, I decided to KEEP my car. You may see this RENNtech S65 at the Hilton Head Concours d'Elegance later this year perhaps, or The Amelia in early 2024. Cheers! MercedesDad.
Just reached out to MBMarket, I believe internet issue on my end :) They will be reaching out to the highest bidder.
This beautiful RENNtech S65 AMG WILL sell today. Mixed feelings because it will be very hard to replace.
Ladies and gentlemen, THE RESERVE IS OFF!!!
Over $12K in preventive maintenance with OEM parts (whether it needed it or not) to make sure its new owner enjoy the heck out of it for many years to come.
Close to $10K in Renntech upgrades alone.
@mhagoodm By the way, that exhaust sound takes place on cold or hot starts. That was just taken with my cellphone and it does not do it justice.
Everything works as intended. From the soft touch door mechanism, to air conditioning, ABC suspension, sunroof, electric rear shade and so on.
Only 30K miles.
Service history going back to 2009.
672 horsepower, 980 lb-ft of torque. Dyno-ed by RENNtech and road tested by The Man himself.
Happy to assist with shipping logistics by licensed/insured transport anywhere in the USA or abroad. I have shipped fine vehicles and motorcycles to and from Dubai, Qatar, Russia, Belgium, Spain, Canada, Central and South America and others.
Preventive maintenance in preparation for sale: - New OEM coil packs, - New OEM sparkplugs, - ABC system service, - New OEM pneumatic pump assembly (doors), - New OEM cooling fan assembly with module, - New OEM Alternator, - New OEM battery, - Oil, filter service, - Brake fluid flush, - New Michelin Pilot Sport tires all around. And last but not least, complete ceramic coat treatment.
Good morning Mercedes-AMG aficionados. Last auction day and I wanted to thank everyone for welcoming my Renntech S65 AMG; from those who have already bid, to those who asked questions or simply shared their admiration for the mythic V12 Bi-Turbo AMG. Possibly some of the greatest automobiles ever made; and likely never to be made again. I must also thank all those who called and emailed within the past 48 hours; conversing cars with you is almost as fun as driving them. I will be checking in regularly in case anyone has a last-minute question. Thank you again and good luck bidding. You will NOT be disappointed. MercedesDad
@FlexmanThank you! If I recall, Mercedes-Benz timing chains are not a scheduled maintenance item (I am not a mechanic, so please confirm with your Mercedes-certified tech). I can tell you that my current M275-powered daily driver has 70K miles, and the one before it 175K (as in one-hundred, seventy-five thousand miles) on the clock. Neither has needed timing chains/guides. Both run like intercontinental ballistic missiles :)
This looks like old aftermarket tint; which turns purple with age. Super easy to remove by leaving the car in the sun for a few hours, or with the help of a hand-steamer. Easy to determine for certain by lowering one of the windows and looking at the tint film on the upper edge of the glass.
I see what @dmoney is doing. High bidder (so far) on pastel blue CL600, then getting proper wheels for it. Well played. Well played.
While I would think twice about driving around with those wheels, I appreciate this as it represents car culture from a different era. Thinking of the crazy Koenig Specials from the 1980's. Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari .... there was something for everyone. Even AMG offered cosmetic 80's mods that raised eyebrows at some point. If cared for, this low-mile CL600 could be very valuable one day.
Future collectible.
I just want that license plate :) Sweet wagon.
@WANNAALLCARS Thank you! The Renntech work is fresh (last year), and yes, this car was dyno-ed and road-tested by them before I took delivery. All the documentation is included with the sale.
@howS I miss Bruce; I actually owned one of his cars (passed down from another V12 enthusiast). He singlehandedly helped raise awareness about this endangered species. His posts? Legendary.
@Britton9dIt will be my pleasure , I will get those shots for you. This S65 is 100% rust-free.
Hello Mercedes-AMG enthusiasts, Thank you for your interest on my Renntech S65 AMG. I am a life-long enthusiast with an admiration for everything Mercedes/AMG since the age of 8, when my father took me to a local dealership to see the recently released Mercedes 190E. That was 38 years ago; plenty of time to turn a child's veneration of the 3-Pointed Star into an all-out obsession. So rather than fighting it, I doubled down by opening a specialty-car dealership seven years ago. With my father still by my side, our small business is laser-focused in helping others, like us, find the car of their dreams. THIS, is one of those cars. I have bought and sold about half-dozen Bi-turbo Mercedes V12s in the course of business (all low-mileage examples) and I cannot think of another car I would like to drive until I cannot do it anymore. I actually daily-drive one at a rate of 26K miles per year and it has been super reliable. Arguably, however, this is the cleanest of them all. Beyond the clean CarFax, very low miles and service records going back to 2009, it is the touch and smell of supple leather surfaces, the silkiness of the Alcantara trim and glass-like feel of the factory 040-Black that sets this one apart from similar offerings. And then you drive it. Everything feels new; no rattles, squeaks, odors, rust or leaks ... only the smell of a *new* Mercedes and its soothing effect enhanced by the reassuring tune of twin-spooled 12 cylinders to remind you that life is good. Like a gentle giant cradling you and your loved ones, serene, yet capable of unleashing overwhelming fire power on command. That is because this S65 has been loved its entire life with records showing regular services, in addition to work performed after I acquired it. This S65 AMG was in fantastic shape when I received it, but I wanted to go over everything that one should look for when acquiring one of these vehicles. A little overkill perhaps, since everything seemed to work properly; from ABC suspension and coil packs to the doors soft-touch close mechanism. Accordingly, the following was performed by Mercedes-Benz specialists: - Full inspection and road tests, - Oil, filter service, - OEM battery, - Brake fluid flush, - OEM coil packs, left and right, - OEM sparkplugs, - ABC suspension service, - OEM cooling fan assembly and module, - OEM Alternator, - OEM pneumatic pump assembly (soft touch door mechanism) - New Michelin Pilot Sport tires all around. Some of this work had been done shortly before I acquired the vehicle, but we did it again anyways in preparation for what would follow. Next, the S65 was shipped to Renntech's headquarters in Stuart, Florida. I followed the transport truck to deliver my car in person and I run into Mr. Hartmut Feyhl (Founder, President of Renntech) outside his office. I asked him something along the lines of "what would you do if this S65 were yours?" Mr. Feyhl, a gracious man and a gentleman, commented that the W220 S65 is plenty powerful already. And nobody really needs all that power and torque under normal circumstances. But if he had his way (and I paraphrase here), he would like subtle updates to address minor compromises that AMG had to incur in order to sell these cars through the Mercedes-Benz dealership network. All of this without compromising drivability and long-term reliability expected from a Mercedes-Benz. Accordingly, Renntech performed the following updates: - Another thorough inspection. - RENNtech ECU tune. - RENNtech intercooling pump upgrade. - Performance air filters. - RENNtech lowering module. Everything tested on their dyno before road tests performed by Mr. Feyhl himself. Last but not least, this car received a ceramic coat treatment before being offered for sale. Consequently, everything works as intended and I am confident that this Renntech S65 will reward its next owner with many years of faithful service. Whether displayed on the show field, on a special occasion, or enjoyed daily. Thank you again for considering my car. MercedesDad
Not too bad!! It got more money here than on BAT just a few weeks prior. Proof that MB Market could become THE place to sell your special Mercedes.
@AMGguy, No. I owned the only factory Mercedes C43 AMG pace car in existence; with only 2,400 original miles. I sold it to a collector a couple of years ago. He still owns it, which only a couple hundred more miles since then. https://www.autobahn-vault.com/inventory/1997-mercedes-benz-c43-amg-pace-car/325/ That said, this 12K-Mile example is as clean as it gets.
- Could you please confirm if exhaust is aftermarket (non-AMG, nor Mercedes. I read "Top Gear USA") with the only AMG parts being the tips? - How does it drive at 100mph? Any rattles, vibrations, pulling on each direction? - Any leaks present after parking the car for about a week? - In your opinion, how much left on rotors and pads? - Any documentation to support the mileage? Thank you!

MercedesDad said:
Beautiful and fully functional, like everything Renntech. A few thoughts come to mind: - These have been discontinued for 2-3 years; largely due to Covid shutdowns that put suppliers out of business. - Renntech made a one-off *GEN II* box in late 2022. They may (or may not) offer it to the general public later on. - This box may not fit a CLK63 Black Series. Buyers considering that application may want to check vertical clearances as factory strut bar runs right on top of the box. Ask me how I know. - Renntech tune, highly recommended to get the most out of this air box.

Last auction day and I wanted to thank everyone for welcoming my Renntech S65 AMG; from those who have already bid, to those who asked questions or simply shared their admiration for the mythic V12 Bi-Turbo AMG. I must also thank all those who called and emailed within the past 48 hours; conversing cars with you is almost as fun as driving them.

MercedesDad
