@Tonyle yeah for $3900 with 175k miles. what a ridiculous reserve and waste of time
Wasn’t this car bought off carsandbid a few years ago?

Very nice! Great job on the needed maintence. This should bring thousands more than current bid
No, I had the whole coolant system flushed along with all fluids when I purchased the car. There is no longer any bars leak in the coolant system. I also have replaced the water pump and radiator this year along with a coolant hose to thermostat. There is just fresh coolant now added.
In photo 169 it says Bars Leak head gasket sealant was added to cooling system "as necessary" in 2020, is it still being added as necessary?

In picture 163 partial wiring harness was repaired to help fix a the idle along with check engine code. Afterwards I also installed an idle control valve to fix the idle.

Ironically, I’m in San Diego as we speak, for business. If I win the bid, I’ll cancel my flight home and drive this back to Auburn Alabama.

Was the wiring harness taken care of in picture 163? Can you provide a cold start and driving video as well please?

Yes, the keyless entry is aftermarket, and works perfectly. You can still manually unlock and lock the car with the key in the door handle slot if you prefer as well.
I’m guessing the remote entry is aftermarket?

This C124 is rust free due to it being a CA car it’s whole life. The undercarriage has no rust on any components, and none on any base of pillars or subframe mount points. No rust on body either and nothing under the windows or door panels or fenders. The rear window has no delimitation it all, as you can see photos of a clear rear windshield in the photo gallery. I will upload some jack point photos later today.
looks very nice! any rust on the undercarriage or usual trouble spots for the w124 coupes? Base of pillars, rear subframe mount points, jack points, under rear window etc? Any signs of rear window de-lamination?
Yes, the AC blows ice cold, and heater works great too. It has a brand new blower motor and blower motor regulator installed, no ac leaks and has been converted to R134. Regarding the wiring harness it is still original and intact no degrading and is not affected from the biodegradable 93-95 m104 because this is the early m104.980 before they implemented that issue.
Does the AC/heat work? Wiring harness update? Thanks

Hi Everyone, Thanks for viewing my C124 Coupe, it has been a great time owning it and it turns heads everywhere I take it. I am a big fan of the C124 and this one is a proper example of what a C124 should look and drive like after putting various amount of work into it as shown in the description. It has just passed smog shown in the paper work gallery, even though it says failed in the Carfax, this can disregarded. Please feel free to send any other questions about the car, I am here to answer them.

Because the weather is perfect 90% of the time in Cali and the roads are good. Weather (snow/ice) sucks in the NE 30% of the year and a goodly amount of rain the other months, the roads are pretty bad (ex-interstates and toll roads) and people don't care about cars in the NE as they do in Cali. Add in very low humidity in Cali and you get what you see - great cars in Cali and crappy cars in the NE. I travel to NJ 3-4 times/year (Newark, Morristown area) and the side roads are pretty bad. Was in Brooklyn 2 weeks ago for a wedding and the streets were generally horrible. Freezing temps with water = bad for roads. Saline coating for winter = really bad for cars and paint.
Why are all these wonderful cars in the West Coast and so little inventory in the North East? New York and New Jersey particularly, considering the great amount of wealth concentrated in NY NJ and CT.
This looks like so much car considering the mileage. Kudos to the seller on this one!
