This 1995 Mercedes-Benz S600 AMG Coupe originated as a Japanese market example where it was reportedly modified early by AMG-Japan. The coupe relocated to Germany in 2010 where it shows current registration with the seller. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over a Black and Gray (561) leather interior, power is provided by an AMG-built 6.0-liter V12 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. AMG upgrades include the body kit, shocks, springs, exhaust, ECU, and TCU. This car includes an AMG service booklet stamped with previous service dates and AMG stamps on the associated parts, ashtray, wheels, body kit sections, and the engine block. AMG-specific 18” 2-piece wheels are shown wrapped in 245/40 Pirelli tires which were replaced in 2022. The Adaptive Damping System (ADS) and a self-leveling rear suspension reportedly functions as designed. AMG shocks and springs remain currently installed.
The cabin is trimmed in Black and Gray leather (561) with black carpeting and floor mats, while burl wood trim accents the dashboard, center console, shifter surround, and doors. Hand-stitched seams on the leather interior were exclusive to the S600 variant and can be seen across the doors, dashboard, armrest, and rest of the cabin. Equipment includes power-adjustable and heated front seats with orthopedic backrests, heated rear seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, factory navigation, rear air conditioning, an electric rear-window sunshade, and a factory Bose sound system. The wood trim throughout the cabin was exemplified by AMG including the door armrests and pocket trim, headrest trim, rear panel trim, and AMG ashtray. the pillars and headliner are trimmed in alcantara.
The wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to an electrically-adjustable steering column and fronts an AMG-labeled 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and instant economy. The six-digit odometer shows 157k kilometers (~97k miles).
The 6.0-liter M120 V12 was factory rated at 389 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque when new. AMG modifications are estimated to have increased horsepower to approximately 441 horsepower and the engine block shows an AMG stamp which can be seen in photo #137. The seller reports the car features an AMG-tuned ECU and TCU along with air filters, intake inlets, and engine internals. Detailed service records totalling 25.000€ since 2010 are included in the sale and pictured in the gallery with the most recent services including fresh fluids and filters, new air filters, and new tires in 2022. An updated wiring harness was installed in 2020 with records included.

Rare and impressive offering from Germany! More history would be amazing, but most pre-merger MB/AMG don't have much. The extra wood inside is such a special touch as well as factory Navigation and two-piece rims. I wonder what AMG did to the M120? These are going to be so collectable sooner than later and as the economy of Germany/EU overall changes I'd imagine we see more of them come out of hiding.
