With spring around the corner, the W209 CLK will be one of the better purchases you can make when it comes to top down fun with an automobile. The pre-facelift CLKs were absolute tanks. Paired with a 722.6 automatic transmission that has proven itself worthy of hundreds of thousands of miles (plus being able to hold up to 1,000 Newton meters of torque) and the under-taxed M112 V6 engine, this is basically a German Toyota Solara with a soul. This particular car boasts an impressive Carfax showing dealer service since day 1 and a long term 2nd owner which tells us this car was loved, both mechanically and from an ownership perspective. The W209 CLK was a huge improvement in build quality and comfort over its predecessor while carrying over the well engineered bits from the W208. It is a cheap gateway to get into top-down Mercedes-Benz motoring from both a buy-in standpoint and ownership costs. We really like these cars and so should you.
