@luckytruck, yes these will work on a 400E, and any 124 chassis. However minor modifications may be needed to avoid rubbing, especially if the car is lowered. Careful tire size selection is needed as well. But yup, they will work. Related note for the new owner, check if the lug bolt seats are ball seat, or cone. Make sure to use the correct seat lug bolts.

I had 16 inch versions of these on my 91 300D. It totally made the car! My grandson is still driving it with around 250,000 miles . The car looks rough the wheels are in bad shape but still good looking somehow. I don't have anything that these would fit but I almost want to buy them because I still think they're so cool

@Eyedoc1985 Hey! These wheels are originally designed for the w124 and W201, so with an E33 offset, they will sit narrower than the W126 fitment. They can fit but adding some spacers will help to fill the fenders.

Will these fit a W126?
@luckytruck @Richard_Mutt Great question! Yes, MB Market does have a minimum buyer’s fee of $225, which could mean a higher percentage on lower-priced items like wheels. However, this is actually in line with other auction platforms—Bring a Trailer and Cars & Bids both charge 5%. Just something to keep in mind when bidding. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@luckytruck I researched the 500E Board Forums and can see that 400E owners run stock 500E wheels which are 16"x8" ET34, so these 17"x8" ET33 will fit perfectly with the right tires.
I did not know about the buyers fee :)
@montenegro1 Just sent you a message with the shipping quote. Thank you
@luckytruck Yes these will fit your 400E

Reading the fine print on bidding it says "The MB Market will charge 4.5% of the final bid price as the buyer’s fee, on top of the winning bid amount. The buyer's fee will have a minimum of $225, and will be capped at $4,500 no matter how high the winning bid." Does anyone know if this minimum of $225 would apply to parts as well? Theoretically someone could win an auction for wheels at $800 and then an extra pay 30% (approx $225).
For some reason I cannot find the stock specs for my 400E wheels.. so that I can compare to these. Will try harder :)
