This 2006 Mercedes-Benz E320 CDI was first sold by Mercedes-Benz of Westminster showing registration in Colorado and California from new. Finished in Flint Gray Metallic (368) over Ash MB-Tex (138), power is provided by a 3.2-liter turbocharged inline-six diesel engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Equipment includes a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, a power rear sunshade, heated power adjustable front seats with memory, dual-zone automatic climate control and an aftermarket touch screen bluetooth head unit. Seven years of service history show over $16k in receipts with the most recent maintenance including a new battery, four new tires and a “B” service including an engine oil and filter change. Now showing 169k miles, this E320 CDI is offered in Hermosa Beach, California with the original manufacturer’s literature, a recent Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The exterior is finished in Flint Gray Metallic (368) and features chrome trim lining the beltline and bumpers. Exterior features include a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, auto-dimming and power adjustable side mirrors and a heated windshield washer system. The seller notes that some panels show signs of previous bodywork including the rear bumper and passenger door. The Carfax shows a damage report in 2009 which was noted as minor with no airbags deployed. Scratches are visible on both front and rear bumpers along with the driver-side rear door.
16” twin five-spoke alloy wheels come wrapped in a fresh set of Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 all-season tires measuring 225/55 on all four corners. The tires were fitted in February 2023 and show date codes reading 2022 and 2021. The wheels show some minor signs of curb rash, and a spare tire can be found mounted below the trunk floor along with the factory jack.
The cabin is trimmed in Ash MB-Tex (138) with leather seat inserts and features Burl Walnut wood trim lining the center console, dashboard and door panels. The wood trim shows some signs of discoloration on the gear shifter. Both front seats are heated and power adjustable with three-position memory. Interior amenities include a power rear sunshade, a power adjustable steering column, dual-zone automatic climate control, an aftermarket Alpine head unit with touch screen and bluetooth connectivity and a 6-disc CD changer. Split-folding rear seats allow for through-loading.
The multifunction steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer with a centrally-mounted configurable digital display along with a 5k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and digital gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer currently reads 169k miles.
This E-Class sedan is powered by a 3.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine which is factory rated at 201 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels with the help of a five-speed automatic transmission. A recent “B” service included an engine oil and filter change along with a check of all fluid levels.
Additional service items include a new alternator, accessory belt, tensioner, pulleys and a new injector in April 2022. Seven years of service receipts totaling over $16k have been included and are viewable in the photo gallery below.
The Carfax report shows registration in Colorado and California with linear mileage updates and regular service visits from new. The aforementioned accident report in 2009 notes a collision with an object resulting in minor damage with no airbags deployed. This E320 CDI is now offered with the original manufacturer’s literature, first aid kit, the original floor mats and a clean California title.
A walk-around video has been provided by the seller below.
Diesel-powered daily drivers offer many benefits over their gasoline counterparts including strong low end torque, increased fuel economy and heroic range. Unfortunately for us American shoppers, the diesel sedan has largely been eliminated from the new car market. When looking back to the greatest hits of diesel-powered sedans, the E-class stands out for its long legacy of providing reliable, diesel-powered transportation. The W211 features the mighty OM648 which outputs nearly 400 lb-ft of torque while still delivering well over 30 mpg on the highway. This was also the last year you could get a pure diesel without the addition of Bluetec. For most engines, 169k miles would be considered a life well lived, but for the OM648, it’s just getting started. With extensive service records and thorough history, this E320 CDI is sure to provide its lucky new owner with many more miles of effortless motoring.

@tpcashman the headliner towards the rear is slightly sagging as shown in the video, however it is repairable. It does not hinder rear passenger use in anyway. The interior is in very nice condition as a whole. Yes we are a dealer and the sale will include temporary plates in the sale with registration. Taxes and fees apply to your registered state of course as well. Goodluck!
@gqmagic Hi, sorry we missed you, any questions we can answer please let us know, I just PM you. Goodluck to the bidders in the last hour! Someone will get an awesome time capsule!

Good afternoon, do you know how the headliner is holding up? In the video it looked like the rear might be sagging a bit, but it was kind of hard to tell (though that's super common with these 211's, so I'd almost be more surprised if it weren't sagging). Second question, as you're a dealer, are you able to supply a temp tag so that it can be driven home? Thanks.
Might have to upgrade my 79 t’d wagon

@mfagone777 Hi there, in the photo gallery from: 194-224 list all the service records completed on the car. Service is up to date. They are extensive and a reputable MB shop completed most of them; with OEM parts. Most recently new alternator/belts along w Service B. Mechanically the car is very healthy.
What did they spend $16k on?
This looks my neighbors car from Manhattan Beach she just sold for $5500. Quick flip it appears...
@Don_Draper yes, the sunroof operates correctly as it should as does the visor.
Additional photos of the engine have been added to the gallery.

Greetings MB Market! CDI’s are amazing all I can say is it is one of the best cars! The overall MPG around mid-30's with mixed driving, easily into the 40's on hwy roadtrips even up to 45mpg. They are great and reliable. A zero expense spared story. This car has had by its previous caretaker $16,000 in recent services to keep her running beautifully for hundreds of thousands of miles to come. Looking forward to passing the torch on this one to a great new owner.
