Hopefully the seller or someone on here can answer this. Small thing, but are there supposed to be covers, in the engine compartment, for the battery and what looks like a filter on the right side, back by the firewall? I have an E320 CDI, and I believe it has them back there. Thanks.
Not sure if this matters, but this vehicle was on classic.com (the current listing refers to here) about 2 years ago, with the same mileage. That site has a history of listing. Yes, I know it says TMU. I am still intrigued in the car, but it would appear the odometer/speedometer is less than intermittent as noted in the post, if I read that right. The post also states that the current owner added 6000 of the 95,000? Can you clarify some of this?
@HermosaMotorsthere's nothing like hearing from an owner in a situation like this...
@AMG_CDIany info from your neighbor on this car? It you think it was there's.
I too have a 2006 E320 CDI, great car. Engine and transmission. I get 40 MPG on the highway doing 80 on long trips. Passing, on the highway, is a dream in this car! Follow the fluid changes and you will have minimal maintenance to worry about. In 230,000 miles, I have replaced the motor mounts about 10,000 miles ago. If you put snow tires on, rotate them a lot, the torque eats them up.
