This 1994 Mercedes-Benz E320 Cabriolet was initially sold in Roanoke, Virginia and shows registration exclusively in Virginia. The current owner purchased the car in May of 2022 and the odometer shows just under 65k miles. Finished in Smoke Silver Metallic (702) over Beige Leather (265), power is provided by a 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Equipment includes heated and power-adjustable front seats with memory, a power-operated brown soft top, power mirrors, cruise control, a driver and passenger airbag, central locking, an original Becker head unit, and an in-period Bell Atlantic mobile phone. The included Carfax report shows 2 service records, a minor in April of 2025, and reports “TMU” on the title when the current owner titled the vehicle with the Virginia DMV as “exempt”. Big service items are an updated upper wiring harness at 60k miles, service records from new, and an oil change in preparation for the sale. This A124 is offered for sale by the current owner in Virginia with the original window sticker, service records from new, original purchase order, wind buffer, a Carfax report, and a clean Virginia title.
The exterior is finished in Smoke Silver Metallic (702) with contrasting Gray lower body cladding and a chrome belt line. Features include a hydraulically-operated brown fabric soft top with an electrically heated rear window. Exterior equipment includes headlamp wiper/washers, central locking, an automatic antenna, heated and power-adjustable door mirrors, and a pop-up leather wrapped roll bar. The seller has included a video showing full top operation as intended. Scuffs are seen on the front bumper impact strip, some damage on the front driver quarter panel, and clear coat issues on the rear passenger corner of the bumper. The antenna grommet is missing in the photos but will be replaced prior to the sale.
OEM painted 15-inch 8-hole wheels are mounted and wear Sentury Touring tires sized 195/65 with 2022 date codes on all four corners. Some wheels show light curb rash and paint lifting. The A124 came standard with ABS. Underside photos have been provided in the gallery and show surface rust.
The cabin is upholstered in Beige Leather (265) and features matching original carpets and Burl Walnut wood trim which lines the center console, dashboard and door panels and shows in good condition. Both front seats are heated from the factory and power operated with memory though the owner states the driver heated seat is not operating as well as the seat belt arm. The seats were dyed in the original color in preparation for the sale. Interior appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, a passenger and driver airbag, automatic seat belt presenters, and an original head unit. An in-period Bell Atlantic mobile phone sits inside of the armrest and the original sales paperwork for the install is included with the car.
The four spoke steering wheel frames analog instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature and oil pressure. A digital outside temperature sensor can be found mounted below. The six-digit odometer shows just under 65k miles from new. White dots are present in the ABS plastic gauge surround. Several reputable vendors offer fixes for this in the aftermarket.
This A124 is powered by an M104 3.2-liter DOHC inline-six which produces 217 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed 722.3 automatic transmission. The included Carfax report shows 2 service records, a minor in April of 2025, and reports a NAM on the title when the current owner titled the vehicle with the Virginia DMV. Big service items are an updated upper wiring harness at 60k miles, service records from new, and an oil change in preparation for the sale. The car was serviced at the Mercedes-Benz dealership for decades and the seller says all of the records are available with the car. Surface rust is shown in the undersides and can be seen on hardware in the engine bay.

Us open-top enthusiasts are all a little tired of the cold weather at this point and are longing for some warm weather, top down motoring. There is no better vehicle to do this in than a A124 E320 as spring approaches. Smoke Silver is a fitting color and suits the Sacco designed E320 Cabriolet – it accents the graceful yet Teutonic design language perfectly. Honestly, we’re big fans of Smoke Silver. It’s what we grew up with all of our parents owning cars in the popular 702 color. The brown fabric soft top adds to the warmth and the refinished beige seats look great alongside the rich burl walnut trim (which appears to have no cracks!). With an updated wiring harness, service records from new, and the original window sticker, with a little love and knowhow, this low mileage A124 deserves a fresh enthusiast to take the reins and steer this example towards greatness.
