Exterior features include power operated mirrors, a power sunroof, heat insulating glass, an electrically heated rear window and a headlamp wiper/washer system. The seller notes that the sunroof is currently inoperable but states that there are no signs of leaks. Additionally, the passenger side mirror does not adjust left or right and only moves up and down. The cabin is finished in Cream Beige MB-Tex (175) with matching beige carpets and floor mats. Zebrano wood trim lines the center console, dashboard and door panels and presents in good condition with no signs of discoloration and only minor scratches and hairline cracks. Interior equipment includes power adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control and a CD changer mounted in the trunk. The seller notes that the FM band does not work but AM is still functional. The headliner is beginning to sag in the rear.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 140-mph speedometer along with a 6k-rpm tachometer, analog clock and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The odometer currently reads 85k miles. Fading on the instrument cluster surround is present.
This W124 sedan is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six diesel engine which outputs 134 horsepower and 155 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Recent maintenance performed by the selling dealer included a new set of glow plugs and a Virginia state safety inspection.
The Carfax report shows linear mileage updates from new with two owners and no accidents or damage reports present. Now showing 85k miles, this E300 Diesel is being offered with original manufacturer’s literature, both keys, a clean Carfax report and a clean Virginia title.
The facelift W124 diesel seems to be widely regarded as the pinnacle of the E-Class workhorse that is the diesel Mercedes-Benz sedan. We love to see these cars still on the road today and finding one with under 100k miles in this color combination is no doubt remarkable. These cars carry a cult following earned by a manufacturer build quality, reliability and Sacco-era styling combination that is nearly unbeatable for the price. In one of the best color combinations of the era, we hope this W124 ends up with someone who will put a few hundred thousand more miles on this OM606 without skipping a beat.

@gsxr Hi! I can confirm all 6 glow plugs were replaced. Unfortunately I don't have time to redo the video.
So refreshing to see the woodgrain in such good condition. Kills me when it's all cracked up and faded.
This one has me drooling! Tough to beat a green over tan, last year model W124 with a diesel!

@Alexdd122, you are correct, the cold start is not normal. Sounds like one or more glow plugs are dead, but the listing claims new glow plugs were installed - first need to confirm 6 were installed. If so, next need to check the connections at each plug, and then verify the glow relay is working properly. It should run smoothly since this model has a 3-minute-long afterglow period where the plugs are energized with engine running after a cold start.
Adding data to quantify "slow as molasses"... factory spec for this 1995 E300 was 12.6 seconds 0-60mph. The 240D is around 23 seconds with auto transmission, and 21 seconds with a manual. This E300 is a rocketship by comparison, vs a 240D. The fastest W123 turbodiesels were nearly 14 seconds, still slower than the E300. Yes, 12 seconds is slow by modern CDI standards, but not quite molasses-slow. ;)

Gauge Pod is a mess. Somebody went after it with chemicals that didn't do the plastic any good. Can buy nice used one for about $200. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/YUoAAOSwhYheyutJ/s-l640.jpg

Hello there! Any specific reason the cold start video has such a rough start? Was it not started in awhile? Thanks!
Fuel gauge back panel has been updated ! Pictures have been submitted. Should be updated soon.
Videos have been added to the listing above.
Paint Meter photos have been added to the gallery.
@Mbenzaddict Submitted photos of using the paint meter all around the car. Looks like the original paint all over. Thanks!!
@NickNyack We ordered the correct back panel and will have it swapped out next week so it won't say the unleaded fuel part!

@Mbenzaddict Here we go! 1) does the HVAC work properly - air flow out of correct vents, A/C works... ---Yes! Blows cold and out of all the vents. 2) any leaks - didn't see detail under engine pics ---No leaks that we have seen! 3) does the cruise work - the control stalk looks bent, not in proper location --- It works! We just had it in and checked it out and he adjusted it. 4) would it be possible to get paint meter readings to confirm if there has been any paintwork? A clean carfax as you know does not ensure no paint work. -- This is the only thing I'm waiting for-- paint meter should be here soon. 5) a cold start and driving video would also be helpful. --- I have submitted 4 videos-- one cold start, one driving right after, one exterior, and one interior. They should be up soon. 6) how old are the tires, I can't see/read the date code - if I win I want to drive it home to the mid west. -- Date Codes are RR 0715, RF 128, LR 1112, LF 118. They are older, but they do still pass our VA State Inspection. I went ahead and asked for a few tire quotes incase you wanted them-- a set of Falkens are around $500ish and a set of Continentals are $650ish (Continental is running a promo for Feb of a $100 VISA Gift Card too) Let me know if you need anything else! I'm just waiting on that paint meter to get here and I'll update that.
@NickNyack We looked into it!! Looks like just that fuel gauge part was replaced at some point, but we unfortunately don't know details of why or when.

Beautiful color! The instrument cluster says "Premium Unleaded Fuel Only". Any idea on when or why it may have been replaced?

A great car but slow as molasses. Only to be outdone by a 240D. BUT, it will go a long way because it has a 23 gallon tank. Had one for a loaner from the MB dealer BITD and couldn't believe the range.

Have seen 44mpg on the highway. 200,000+ miles and going strong. Good luck! Great color, btw.

@Mbenzaddict Hi! I'll get everything for you! It's raining out decently today so I don't think I can do the video today, but I'll have everything for you by tomorrow for sure.
