@bfuen001If you were ordering a car back in the day you could option it as you wanted. The xenons on this car for example was another selection in addition to the Sport Package. Sport just gave you the E55 body kit and 17" wheels. The wood wheel was certainly a rarely optioned feature for these though!
Bet this is a fun car to drive with the 6-speed! SLK’s are already fun to toss around in the corners so the only thing missing is the manual!
Absolutely stunning with the sport kit and color. This one has me thinking...
There's not a Benz that these wheels don't look good on.
The updated styling has really grown on me. Still very boxy and properly stout in design.
Very low mileage for one of these diesels!
Absolutely love this color combination! A welcomed sight compared to the standard silver and black color schemes
If only I had a Gullwing....
There's an interior dye kit for these cars that can touch up the red trim pieces in a couple minutes. I had a friend who did that on a SLK32 a few years ago and it looked like new. Very cheap and easy to do for the next owner.
I can't remember the last time I saw a 140 like this that didn't have a warped or cracked lower front bumper. Looks like a really nice SEL!
Great example of how incredibly well these cars hold up when properly cared for and maintained. Ultra clean!
Such a great color combination on this coupe. Don’t see these very often either.
Never seen one this large make survive! The dealers are usually sure to have them destroyed but someone saved it thankfully
MSRP over $103k in 1994 was a real heavy hitter! No wonder the guys family owned majority share of Diamler at the time. Incredible W140! Looking forward to watching the end of this one.
@cpilkThat's great info! Freddie at Unique Cars of Palm Beach properly goes through his cars and runs a very tidy operation. I've seen some of the Pagodas he's done and they are top quality!
Well done! Congrats @desertrat on a solid win!
Those floormats really make that interior! Need some Coco mats for myself now. Manual W123 with no rust is a rare find, GLWA!
This has to be one of the cleanest W123s left! Gives a whole new meaning to the term "clean diesel" ;)
@Bankrep40I've seen this wheel mounted on a W124 so should be no problem on a 300E.
Lots of potential with this one! Certainly looks the part
Pretty rare to see these as 4matics today! Perfect for those who can't make do with a RWD only.
The interior appears to be extremely well done. Whoever did that certainly knows what they're doing. The double stitched dash is also a very nice touch.
If I had a W202 I'd buy this kit all day long. The 36 kit looks so good and looks similar to the facelift 124s
This will forever be one of the best interior colors of all time. Too bad it's in such limited models but man is it good!
This one has me drooling! Tough to beat a green over tan, last year model W124 with a diesel!
@EltjonsHaha most pointless comment I've ever seen
Worth every penny!!
Gorgeous spec! Always a plus to have heat and a hardtop.
This is as cool as you can possibly look for under $10k. Could fool the untrained eye for a Hammer ;)
Pagani power with better looks!
@ferrari1971Well done! That's going to look so perfect
@OriginalAndRareNot sure you're going to find dyno results out there but this is certainly an upgrade over the standard Jetronic. There's a reason everyone switched to electronic fuel injection. As a more efficient system there has to be some power increase I would think, probably 15-20 hp if I had to guess.
I don't think people realize how rare a Sportline coupe really is. These were the prime editions offered from MB at the time and made a noticeable improvement in driving feel. Love this car, GLWA!
Get a set of proper Monoblocks on this car and you have an absolute winner! Then sell these wheels and pocket the cash, totally ruins the aesthetic but thankfully an easy fix.
@NachozNo need for concern there. That's completely normal for a car of this age and actually above average compared to most I've seen. If you were to replace them, the last time I checked these could still be ordered through the dealer and aren't very expensive.
Little bit of elbow grease and this would be a perfect car. Interior looks immaculate!
Black on black sport package with a boat load of options is the only way to own one of these. Very nice car
Lovely example. Always a good sign when you see Michelin Pilot Sports installed.
Well done on the description! The prior "Hammer" auctions that have been publicized in years past really confused the market about what these cars really are. This is the only true Hammer I've seen on an online auction platform and this is surely the real thing.
Love the interior on the Limited. These should continue to standout and hold strong values with such low production numbers. Interesting this has a December 94 production date so this is likely one of the very last Limited editions made.
This is absolute perfection! Stamped 3.4 AMG modified engine with a 5-speed dogleg... where do I sign?
Now this is one is neat. Almost impossible to find a complete Lorinser kit today and these really were something special back in the day.
@JAdkins79Don't forget an AMG kit and you suddenly double the value of the car immediately.
