This 1998 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG is finished in Glacier White (143) over Black Leather (581) and power is provided by a 4.3-liter M113 V8 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Factory equipment includes Xenon headlamps, a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, remote central locking, heated multicontour front seats, automatic climate control, an integrated car phone and a Bose audio system. Recent maintenance included new spark plugs and ignition wires, new valve cover gaskets, new water pump, refreshed suspension, an engine oil change and much more. Now showing just under 178k miles on the odometer, this C43 AMG is offered on consignment by the selling dealer with OEM "C43 AMG" trunk badging, the original owner's manual, a clean Carfax report and a clean Georgia title.
The body is finished in Glacier White (143) and features AMG styling with a sculpted front air dam, side skirts and rear bumper. Exterior features include a power tilt/slide glass sunroof, Xenon headlamps, heated headlamp wiper/washers, remote central locking, power mirrors and a dual-exit AMG exhaust. The seller reports a paint chip and dent on the hood, various rock chips and scratches on the front bumper and signs of prior touch-up work. Surface rust is present on the bottom of the driver door. New Xenon bulbs and fog lamps have been fitted to the car. The "C43 AMG" badging has been removed from the trunk lid but does come with the car.
The 17” AMG Monoblock wheels are fitted with a set of Yokohama Advan Apex tires measuring 225/45 front and 245/40 rear with 2021 date codes. Curb rash is present on the wheels and pictured in the gallery. Electronic Stability Programming and Automatic Slip Control are standard equipment along with dual-piston AMG calipers and stiffer suspension. A new master cylinder and ABS pump have been installed along with a recent brake fluid flush. Additionally, new rear wheel bearings, CV joints, and all upper and lower control arms were replaced.
The cabin is upholstered in Premium Black Leather (581) with matching black AMG floor mats and Burl Walnut wood trim which lines the center console, dash and door panels. Cracking is visible on the center console. Both front seats are heated and power adjustable with additional multicontour adjustment. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, an integrated car phone, 60/40 split-folding rear seats and an 8-speaker Bose audio system. A new headliner was recently fitted to the car along with a new cabin air filter and an AC recharge. The seller notes the rear driver-side door has issues with locking and unlocking.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts an Ivory AMG cluster which features a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The left-side warning light panel is missing but all bulbs work properly with no warning lights currently illuminated. The digital odometer currently shows just under 178k miles from new.
This W202 is powered by a hand-built 4.3-liter M113 V8 which is factory rated for 302 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Recent maintenance included an engine oil change, new plugs and wires, valve cover gaskets, MAF sensor, coolant hoses, expansion tank, water pump and thermostat and new accessory belts. Additional maintenance items include new rear wheel bearings, CV joints, all upper and lower control arms, and a new battery.
The Carfax report shows linear mileage updates reported from new, and no accidents or damage reports. This 1998 C43 AMG is now offered in New Orleans, Louisiana with factory "C43 AMG" trunk badging, the original owner's manual, a clean Carfax report and a clean Georgia title.
A walk around and cold start video has been provided below along with driving footage of the car. The driving video shows a "bulb out" indicator on due to a brake light bulb which is being replaced prior to the sale.
There's a lot to love about the W202 C43 AMG. Values and cost debates aside, any true enthusiast (especially those lucky enough to grab some wheel-time) will find it difficult to give negative feedback to these modern classics. The build quality truly made the C43 AMG feel and wear like a scaled down S-Class, while the chassis felt tight enough to convey ample track confidence. In short, AMG built the perfect car if a driver were to only choose one. From power and handling to refinement and class, the W202 C43 AMG does it all and this mid-merger example is one of reportedly only 1,125 examples for the U.S. market.

Pictures of service records have been added to the gallery.
Good morning! We will post some service records available to us from previous owners. Please take a look at these. A few of you have messaged me regarding this so here you go! As the auction winds down please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. Have a great day !
@kamngetit Wow! This is so right on! I must say this is a scenario that many people run in to. By the time you get the car sorted you are on to the next project!
This is hands down my favorite car that I have ever owned. And that's saying something when I currently own a 2014 Lexus ISF and a 2015 Lexus RCF (both V8s as well), yet I daily this the most. It's maneuverability and handling is legit next level. I bought this in very bad condition from the previous seller. Took about 1.5 years to get all the right OEM parts and what not. I never thought I put so much money into a car, I did with this one. And let me say I don't regret the many tows, etc getting to sorted out. It's been a full year and no issues not even a light. The more you drive these cars the more reliable they really are. They are meant to be driven and not sit around. I have the same white exterior but with the two tone black/gray interior. Don't pass this up. These cars should seriously be worth more. I am super fortunate to own one. Bid with confidence you seriously get a car that hauls butt on the road and people just drop their jaws in amazement lol. Benz fan for life even though I love Lexus F cars too lol.

That first set of photos on the street are fantastic, they really show the contours of the car well.
Hello there and I hope all of you had a fantastic Thanksgiving and are getting ready for Christmas. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to respond in a timely matter as I am sure the Holiday festivities are in full swing in your work place and home. This is a great time of year. I am representing this example on behalf of the current owner who is a young automobile enthusiast who has a major love for some of the finer automobiles that most all of us appreciate. All of the work that has been completed is noted in the photographs. The MB Market in my mind is the perfect platform for the Mercedes Benz Entusiast. Thanks to all of the viewers and I will check back in a day or two. Have a wonderful weekend and GET OUTAND Drive!
