This 1999 Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG was originally sold in Illinois and shows documented and linear mileage updates throughout the clean Carfax report. The car now resides in Texas showing just 92k miles and was acquired by the seller in January 2021. This W210 AMG is finished in Black (040) over two-tone Black and Gray Leather (588) and is powered by a 5.4-liter V8 paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Maintenance earlier this year includes replacement of full front end suspension as well as rear bushings, an oil and filter change, and new tires. In 2020, the car was restored at Mancuso MotorSports where the car received a full repaint and refinishing of the AMG monoblock wheels. This W210 is now offered by the seller in Houston, TX with a clean Carfax report, two keys, recent maintenance records, and a clean Texas title.
This E55 is now offered by the seller with a clean April 2021 Carfax report, two keys, factory literature, maintenance records, and a clean Texas title. Underbody photos have been provided in the gallery below and the resonator has been removed under current ownership. Additionally, this E55 was featured by LegitStreetCars and Car Scoops as an undervalued, reliable AMG that is destined to rise in both collectibility and value. The video and link to the article are viewable below along with a walk around video of the car presently.

The '99 cars have aged so well. Slight hints of old school AMG throughout

@Allowit tough to get a good photo/angle of bumper. 2 holes from the front plate frame & the 2 dimples as well.
Additional photos with paint meter readings have been added in a secondary gallery in the listing.
@Allowit finally sourced a paint meter this afternoon. Will photo and send to thembmarket to post as well as license plate/frame removed.
Still waintg to see the paint meter readings that @993tats mentioned
Can the seller provide an image without the front license plate installed? Would like to see the # of holes etc in the bumper.

@993tats Will absolutely try my best to find a paint meter. To be transparent, I purchased the vehicle post paint & do not have pre-paint photos. I have inspected every bit of this car from top/bottom & it looks great for its age. Paint job is a 9.9 out of 10, there is not 1 tape line I have found nor over spay area and I am VERY critical! I honestly had no intent of selling this E55 but in the walk around video you'll see the Edition 1 E63s in the background that was too good of a deal to pass up. My intent was to have the W210 E55 as a daily & hunt down a 2008 CLK Black Series, the Edition 1 E63s de-railed my plans entirely which I was content with but that entailed not having 2 sedans.
@seller @gearhead888 Beautiful car. Before I bid in these final days; Can you share any detail on the paint/body work? How extensive was the rust, in what areas, and how was it addressed? Photos documenting the work would be ideal. Did the work consist of new panels, cutting and welding, or a quick fix with lots of bondo that will come undone in a few years? Was the car disassembled during paint and to what extend, or will we find tape lines and edges and overspray on seals Id love to see paint meter readings all around and specifically in the rust repair areas. Expecting they will be high with the repaint, but will I see 9, 10, 11, 12, or is the car reading 40+ w. Bondo. Would be a quick 5 minute task to take a meter to the car if you dont mind. Trying to determine a quality and proper paint job or a quick scuff and shoot for resale.

@Kwoodwo to be completely honest, so was I. I’m a Michelin man for life. Which the next items for me on this car were the headliner then tires. They’re not my preference either! The ride good for what they are, no Pilot series but I was “ok” with them on the E55 for the time being.

Have to admit: disappointed to see sumitomos on this great car. It deserves better than that!

I'd think there has to be some additional value for this car considering the work that's been done from a future standpoint. We all know the w210 is prone to rust and corrosion issues which is partly why clean ones bring such a premium. With all rust issues being corrected on this one it should be good moving forward and worry free for the next owner. Certainly worth considering.
The badge looks like it just needs a small raise and angle adjustment then it’s perfectly positioned. GLWS!
Hope you can have the detail shop you deal with install it, as a corrective measure

@Allowit I'll be more than happy to throw in OEM AMG badge with the car per your request. Happy bidding!
@gearhead888 the "AMG" decal is certainly on the proper side. The issue is , that it is not in the proper location. It sticks out like a sore thumb.
@Allowit E55 is on driver side & AMG is on passenger side as it should be.
@armenian perhaps an easy fix. Just a shame that , that an imoortant detail like this is overlooked . {In my opinion anyway] Can the seller confirm if they well correct this? Much thanks.
@Armenian There's a shop local to me that can do a quality job on the headliners. They all do eventually begin to sag so it kind of comes with the territory for most of these cars. The shop is King's Upholstery in Roanoke, VA but I'm confident there would be a shop local to anyone that could also do this. When I've had it done in the past it was $400-450 including the sunroof.
This one looks super clean! Can't go wrong with black. Almost any w210 will need most of what's been done to this one by this age I'd expect.
@Allowit looks like you might be right about the AMG trunk decal. That is an easy fix.
They all have the drooping headliner issue as it looks like this one has. Does anyone know a repair shop that can do it without breaking the fasteners that hold the interior pillar moldings, some metal along windshield and between the front and rear doors, some are plastic along the rear sail panels that the seat belts go through. I have a 2001 with same issue and do not want to do it myself.
AMG decal on trunk , seems to be not in correct spot. Can you confirm.
