This 2003 Mercedes-Benz ML55 AMG first shows registration in Colorado in June 2003 with subsequent history in Hawaii and California before returning to Colorado. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Black Exclusive Leather (561), power is provided by a naturally aspirated 5.4-liter AMG V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and permanent four-wheel drive. Equipment includes 18-inch AMG wheels, xenon headlights with washers, a power glass sunroof, heated power-adjustable front seats with memory, navigation, Bose audio, and a lockable center-console safe. The selling dealer acquired the ML55 approximately three weeks ago and has added approximately 50 of the 47,573 miles shown. Preparation for sale included an inspection, replacement of the camshaft sensor connector, valve-cover gaskets, air filter, and hood struts, along with new Kumho tires and an oil and filter change. This ML55 AMG is now offered by Geneva Motorcars in Darien, Wisconsin with one key, manufacturer’s literature, floor mats, a first-aid kit, a cargo cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Colorado title.
The exterior is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features AMG-specific bumper covers, widened fender flares, sculpted hood bulges, and dual exhaust outlets. Additional equipment includes xenon headlights with washers, front fog lights, power-folding mirrors with integrated turn signals, a power glass sunroof, roof rails, and rear privacy glass. The rear bumper was painted upon acquisition by the selling dealer. Additionally, the selling dealer reports no known rust, or modifications. Minor cosmetic blemishes are detailed in the accompanying gallery.
Factory 18-inch AMG five-spoke alloy wheels wear newly mounted Kumho tires measuring 285/50 at all four corners and carrying 2026 date codes. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with red-painted calipers and ABS. The ML55 features AMG-tuned suspension and electronic stability control. The Carfax documents a brake-fluid flush and brake-light switch replacement in August 2019.
The cabin is trimmed in Black Exclusive Leather (561) with matching door panels and carpeting. Dark Burl Walnut veneer accents the steering wheel, center console, and shift knob. Equipment includes heated power-adjustable front seats with memory, automatic climate control, navigation, Bose audio, cruise control, an overhead trip computer and compass, and a lockable center-console safe. The split-folding rear seats provide access to the cargo area, which includes a retractable cover and an enclosed spare wheel. The selling dealer reports all equipment operates properly.
The wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel fronts white AMG instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. Digital displays provide outside temperature, gear selection, time, and mileage. The odometer shows 47,573 miles, approximately 50 of which were added by the selling dealer.
The naturally aspirated 5.4-liter M113 AMG V8 was factory rated at 342 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to all four wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission and a two-speed transfer case. The selling dealer reports completing an inspection and replacing the camshaft sensor connector, valve-cover gaskets, air filter, and hood struts in preparation for sale, along with an oil and filter change. The Carfax additionally documents replacement of the power-steering pump and a power-steering fluid service in October 2025 at 46,687 miles. No separate service records accompany the vehicle beyond the history recorded in the Carfax.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage, five owners, and seven service-history records. Registration history is listed in Colorado, Hawaii, and California, with one owner retaining the vehicle from 2008 until 2025. The most recent mileage entry records 46,687 miles in October 2025. One key, manufacturer’s literature, floor mats, a first-aid kit, a cargo cover, and a clean Colorado title accompany the sale.
The ML55 AMG has a personality that still feels refreshingly straightforward. The hood bulges, broad five-spoke wheels, and white gauges tell you what it is, while the naturally aspirated V8 supplies the character. There’s something particularly appealing about that engine in the upright W163 body: plenty of torque, useful space, and the familiar controls of an early-2000s Mercedes. It makes a convincing case for an AMG that can earn its place in the garage through regular use. Brilliant Silver over black suits this example especially well, highlighting the AMG bodywork without overwhelming the original shape. Its 47k miles, long stretch of prior ownership, and largely stock presentation give enthusiasts plenty to consider. Recent attention to the valve-cover gaskets, oil service, and tires also addresses several practical ownership items. For those of us who appreciate the first generation of AMG SUVs, a well-presented facelift ML55 remains an appealing combination of utility and personality.
