This 2003 Mercedes-Benz S55 AMG was sold new in May 2003 and first registered in California where it has remained its entire life. The car is finished in Obsidian Black (197) over an Anthracite (281) leather interior, and equipment includes Active Body Control suspension, heated and cooled front dynamic seats, factory COMAND with Navigation, Parktronic, Radar-guided cruise control, Keyless-Go, Bose audio, and much more. It’s powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 paired to a five-speed automatic transmission. Service in the past 5,000 miles includes new transmission mounts, PCV hose replaced, new valve cover gaskets, trunk lid supports replaced, new tires mounted and balanced, new drive belts, and an oil/fluid service. Now with only 34k miles, this S55 AMG is offered by the seller with factory literature, two sets of OEM floor mats, a clean Carfax report, one key, one key card, and a clean California title.
The exterior is finished in Obsidian Black (197) with matching body cladding and an AMG kit which includes a sculpted front bumper, side skirts, and rear bumper accented by quad twin-tipped exhaust outlets. The included Carfax report shows a clean history free from body work or paint and no accidents or damage. Exterior features include a power glass sunroof, bi-xenon headlamps, parktronic parking sensors, power folding mirrors, and heated windscreen washers. The seller notes the car is free from rock chips or other imperfections as it had a clear bra most of its life which has since been professionally removed.
Staggered twin-spoke 18″ AMG alloy wheels wear newer Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires with 2018 date codes measuring 245/45 and 265/40 respectively. Tucked behind the original AMG wheels are six-piston brake calipers up front and four-piston in the rear. Additional photos of the suspension and underbody are viewable in the gallery below.
The interior is trimmed in Anthracite (281) leather across the seats, headrests, door cards, armrest, and door handles. Burl walnut veneer accents the center console, door cards, and dashboard. Original AMG-embroidered floor mats are included in the sale along with an OEM attachable cup holder. A secondary set of OEM all-season mats will also be included and are pictured in the trunk. Interior equipment includes heated and ventilated dynamic front seats, Bose audio, COMAND with navigation, dual-zone automatic climate control, radar-guided cruise control, Keyless-Go, a power rear window shade, soft-close doors, and a power-close trunk.
The Anthracite leather-wrapped steering wheel features paddle shifters and frames factory instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and a digital odometer with trip function showing 34,800 miles. Additional gauges include coolant temperature and fuel level. Digital readouts display outside temperature as well as driving gear and mode.
The supercharged 5.4-liter M113 V8 is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and rated at 493 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque when new. Service in the past 5,000 miles includes new transmission mounts, PCV hose replaced, new valve cover gaskets, trunk lid supports replaced, new tires mounted and balanced, drive belts replaced, and an oil/fluid service. This example also shows regular dealer service and preventative maintenance on the Carfax history.
Multiple driving, walkaround, startup and other videos of the car are viewable below.

Extremely clean looking example here. That intercooler mounted behind the lower grill lets you know this car means business under the hood!

@Apabonds no what @Autocrat said
@Apabonds It sounds like he was the seller for the C&B auction and the buyers didn't follow through with the purchase, so he's listing it here.
@Tholdgate Not sure i understand Did u buy the car on Carsandbids 🤔
@Apabonds the guy on cars and bids that came to look at it didn’t know anything about cars he had his wife test drive it around the block for not even a quarter mile she didn’t hit the gas hard or anything to test the car out. He never even sat in the car and he assumed the engine was knocking. He tried getting me to drive it to his personal mechanic, I told him no but I’ll take it to Mercedes-Benz of Sacramento for a pre purchase inspection. So he decided not to buy it because I wouldn’t bring it to his personal mechanic.
@Steaknshrimp500 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤔🤔
