This 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL550 was originally sold at Mercedes-Benz of Chattanooga, TN in April 2006 and is one of 550 cars produced to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the SL. It is finished in Pewter Silver Metallic (723) over Cognac Brown (227) leather and powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Additional equipment includes a power-retractable hardtop, bi-xenon headlamps, Keyless-Go, Active Body Control, heated and ventilated multi-contour front seats, a Bose sound system, and COMAND infotainment with navigation. The car was first registered in Tennessee and spent time in North Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, and Indiana prior to its arrival in Florida in 2021. This SL550 has 44k miles from new and is offered by the current owner with an original window sticker, service records since 2014, a factory VMI, two keys, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
The car is finished in Pewter Silver Metallic (723U) and equipped with a power retractable hardtop, fog lamps, bi-xenon headlights with cornering illumination, twin exhaust tips, and a roll bar designed to automatically deploy in the event of a rollover. The seller reports only a few small rock chips on the front of the vehicle. Photos of exterior available in the gallery.
Split-spoke 18″ wheels are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires with 2019 date codes and 7/32 depth at all four corners. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with cross-drilled front rotors and the car is equipped with Active Body Control. The seller reports wheels are straight with no alignment or balance issues and notes that there is minor curb rash on the front right wheel and a ding near the center of the left rear wheel.
The cabin features seating upholstered in Cognac Brown (227) leather with a matching lower dashboard and door panels along with a contrasting black upper dashboard and carpeting. Amenities include ash wood accents on the center console and steering wheel, heated and ventilated power-adjustable multi-contour seats, cruise control, COMAND infotainment with navigation, Keyless-Go, Bose audio, and automatic climate control.
The multifunction steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer indicates 44k miles.
The 5.5L M273 V8 was rated at 382 horsepower with 391 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. The seller reports recent service history which includes an oil/filter change, front and rear brake pads and rotors, battery, and a new starter. The seller also notes that all fluids were changed October 2017. Records are included showing services since 2014 and a VMI is included showing dealer services since new.
Manufacturer’s literature, an original window sticker, and two keys are included in the sale. The Carfax shows no accidents or other damage and linear mileage updates, along with 19 service history records.
It doesn’t get much more iconic than a Mercedes-Benz SL with the top down. Through the ages we’ve watched the 300SL, the Pagoda, the R107, and R129, all steal the show in their own rights from silver screen stardom to pop culture flash. We like to think SL550’s like this example have identified a way to capture the SL’s legacy through unique styling cues, soft lines, and classic color combinations. This 50th Anniversary Edition is one of only 550 examples produced and does an excellent job of maintaining the heritage of the famed Sport Licht with a striking color combination. This is open-top motoring at its finest and we’re confident the next owner will be enjoying plenty of smiles per gallon in this limited-edition example.

Point of clarification re shipping. I will be happy to coordinate with the buyers choice of of shipper and assist with pick up. However, the buyer will be responsible for selecting the shipper and all costs associated with the shipment. I believe that MB Market has a list of recommended shippers if the buyer needs help with this.

Agree with you. As the current owner, I am a Mercedes Club of America (MBCA) member and have driven this car to several car events. I have never seen another 50th anniversary model in the "flesh". I have also received several compliments from higher end car owners such as Aston Martin and Bentley saying how they like the color combination.
These are bound to be desirable above most others considering the color combo and limited production. Never run across one in the wild before.

Unfortunately the rear shelf bag was not with the car when I purchased it in May 2017.
Hello. Is the 50th anniversary Mercedes luggage that came with these anniversary cars included in the sale?

This car was in Sarasota during the hurricane. Fortunately, there was no flooding in the area where I live. The car was kept inside during all the storms. There is no water damage in the car.
hey was this car in Florida during the floods? any water damages? just a concern no disrespect
An additional photo of the blemish on the wheel has been uploaded to the gallery.
Ding is near the bolt holes on the wheel. No idea how this occurred. Photo will be uploaded by MB Market later today.
Is there an image showing this "ding" mentioned. Is the ding on the wheel or on the fender of the car?
