This 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG Edition IWC was first sold in June of 2009 by Park Place Motorcars in Dallas, Texas where it remained registered through 2021 with the first owner. Subsequent registrations are noted in Delaware from 2021 through 2025. This specific example is an exclusive Edition IWC car which was produced as a collaboration between AMG and Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen. It’s reportedly 1 of 200 examples total and 1 of 63 U.S. market examples. Finished in exclusive designo Magno Cashmere (049) over AMG Tobago Brown Leather (524) power is provided by a 6.2L M156 V8 paired to a 7-speed AMG Speedshift transmission driving the rear wheels. The original window sticker is included in the sale and shows a $169,950 MSRP when new. The IWC Edition option retailed for an additional $31,475 and included 19” AMG Twin 5-Spoke Forged wheels, a two tone performance AMG steering wheel, exterior matte carbon fiber, white illuminated AMG door sills, matching floor mats, a Panorama roof, Parktronic, AIRSCARF, Keyless-Go, heated and ventilated multicontour seats, and an electronic decklid. This package also included an IWC Schaffhausen “Big Ingenieur” watch produced exclusively for the collaboration. The included Carfax report shows 14 service history records and regular servicing has been noted by the seller. This rare SL63 AMG is offered by the selling dealer with only 17k original miles and comes with two keys, the original window sticker, original literature, a car cover, the IWC watch that came with the car when new, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Delaware title.
Each of the Edition IWC cars were finished in exclusive designo Magno Cashmere (049) and accented with matte carbon fiber across the body. External features include a power-folding hardtop with panorama glass, bi-xenon headlamps, LED tail lamps, and complete PPF on the body of the car to protect the high-maintenance designo Magno paint. The seller does note the front bumper to have received paintwork under previous ownership. Detailed professional photos can be seen in the gallery.
This limited production example features forged 19” AMG twin 5 spoke wheels finished with machined faces and painted inner spokes. Pirelli P-Zero tires are mounted showing 2018 date codes and measuring 255/35 and 285/30 from front to rear. Braking is handled by stock AMG six-piston brakes up front and four-piston brakes in the rear.
The cabin is trimmed in exclusive AMG Tobago Brown Leather (524) across the seats, door cards, and rear parcel shelf. The seats show white contrasting double-stitching and all secondary hides are shown in black nappa leather. Also exclusive to the Edition IWC is the matte carbon fiber interior trim in place of veneer. The trim shows well with no fading present. The rear parcel shelf features two storage bins behind each seat and retractable belts intended to secure smaller bags or luggage on the shelf. Cabin features and amenities include heated and ventilated multi-contour seats, AIRSCARF for each seat along with memory settings, a power decklid, dual-zone climate control, factory 2.5NTG COMAND, and much more. The cabin shows well with little to no wear indicated and all features working as intended. Detailed professional photos can be seen in the gallery.
The optional reduced-diameter AMG Sport steering wheel is trimmed in matching Tobago Brown Leather and frames a 200-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 17k miles, approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership.
This SL63 AMG is powered by a 6.2L M156 V8 paired to a 7-speed AMG Speedshift transmission driving the rear wheels. The engine was rated for 518 horsepower when new and 465 lb-ft of torque. 0-60 is achieved in 4.5 seconds and top speed is limited to 155mph. The included Carfax report shows 14 service history records and regular servicing has been noted by the seller.

The included IWC Schaffhausen “Big Ingenieur” watch produced exclusively for the collaboration was included with the SL when new and was designed to match the finishes of the SL. It features a 45.5mm steel case with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and brown crocodile strap. “SL63 AMG” and “1 of 200” are engraved on the side of the case opposite the crown guards. The dial shows a matte white finish to match the designo Magno Cashmere paint and markers in matching white and silver. Included with the watch are the factory papers and box.

@LawrenceFearon Absolutely fair assessment! However, regardless of how much the watch is worth, at the end of the day, something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. The car hasn't sold on BAT at almost exactly the same bid, so that shows that the current market may not care what the watch is worth. Car is absolutely amazing, watch too! Hopefully the seller get's what he wants/desires. It would be nice if the seller added what they want for it, I tried messaging them, but since the auction has ended, I can't.
All this called by @alankara!
This IWC SL63 deserved better than $58,500. The bespoke watch alone cost $$31,475. To value the car at $27k is absurd. The only way to get the watch was to buy the IWC option package. Don’t be surprised when you see this car at Barrett-Jackson selling for $100k knowing this was one of the only times a car and it’s paired watch were together at auction.
Good God the bidding went up about $10,000 more than his worth, that dealership should've jumped on that like a heart attack!!!!

Outstanding example here.
As a prior owner of this vehicle, I can attest to its PRISTINE condition and bulletproof motor. This car was beyond clean last summer when I sold it and the current seller went above and beyond to detail this rare beauty even more. The PPF and other details make this SL63 an extremely desirable machine at almost 1.5x the current bid. Mercedes is not making any more of these. If I could, I’d buy it back myself!

@fairwether I know, I was going to bid, but then with some research, I saw it was just sold for $58-$59K last month. Good luck, great get if it stays where it's at! :)
@alankara AS much as I'd love for it to sell to me at the current bid, I'm willing to bet you're right. I'm really feeling this though so I'll be here this afternoon. Thanks @seller
$33,500 bid placed by @fairwether
I suspect this won't sell for the high bid, given it was sold on BAT for almost $60,000 just a month ago. Would it be worth stating that reserve wasn't met on the listing by the site/seller? I've been tracking MB Market auctions for a while, but rarely see "reserve not met", till after the bidding ends

Where else do you get a paragraph dedicated to a watch for a car auction? Love this SL!
I only clicked through because of the watch, LOL. Pretty cool special edition combo. Expecting a lot of activity on this one! I usually don't like this SL body style but this AMG version (especially the color combo) happens to look pretty sweet to me! GLWTA! (I love driving my 2012 Fiat when I wear certain watches that are worth much more than the car LOL)
Its a very common problem on these its crack in the clear but it can be fix thanks.

Just one Elegant and Drivers car here.
In photo 166/300 are the two lines simply scratches in the CF or was the panel actually spliced?
Additional service records have been added to the gallery along with a factory VMI.
