@EmmaLab coincidence...twas with me in Albuquerque before moving here for work!
Blacksburg, VA and a beautiful burgundy color (dare I call it Chicago maroon). Coincidence or a VA Tech fan? :)

I think they had a bright red, too, not a metallic, but it isn't as attractive as this color, by far.
@Jim_Rosenthal have seen many in other reds, but few in 512 from this MY.
Great color, and not a common one, on a great car. One of the best convertibles MB ever made.

@Harrdware just noticed your comment RE MB-official 8 hole chromed rims. I was offered this set at a price I couldn’t refuse a couple of years back. They, like the handsfree cell and 6-disc changer, were indeed a dealer-installed accessory stateside. Germany shipped the standard 8-hole rims, which also come with the car!
@zepman many thanks!
I know the seller very well as I’ve had two a124’s and currently own one, he is a very well respected member of the MB community and ran his chapter of the MBCA for years, I wouldn’t hesitate buying this car - it’s extremely well taken care of and sorted magnificently, I mean just look at those maintenance records!!!

@Donkster Please DM me with an example of what you want to see. The shot of the full exposed outer side of the driver’s seat shows seat skirt plastics all-intact (no cracking) and an amount of patina on the bolster commensurate with the mileage and wear on the remaining seat surfaces. There are no holes or tears in the leather. Wood is in excellent condition with minimal fading as per photos. Patina is only surface cracking in the clear coat, normal for the mileage. All electrics work in the car including the heated seats.
Your photos are really great. Would it be possible to get a headon of the drivers's side seat outboard bolster? On the drivers side lower outboard corner there is a plastic piece that sometimes cracks and there isn't a clear photo of that area. it covers the mechanism that pivots when the seat is tipped forward. Any other areas of cracking on the wood fascia other than shift gate? Do both the back and seat cushions on both seats heat properly? Thank you
@Donkster my pleasure and happy bidding!
Thank you
@Donkster please see new photos. Note that these are cosmetic issues and do not affect performance, especially where the top is concerned. Water still beads on it!
Additional photos of the stainless steel rear bumper molding, soft top, and date code on the wiring harness have been added to the gallery.
Can you add a photo or 2 of the chrome strip that is on the rear bumper just under the trunk lid. It looks raised up. Also a picture or 2 of the “wear” spots on the convertible top thank you
An additional ride-along/driving video has been added to the listing.

@nsal No head gasket replacement because it is not leaking/does not need it at this time and mileage. I do not have published test results, but the dealership did the water pump replacement and so I am sure that at that time they would have advised that sort of work had it been needed at that time. This engine is dry on the outside with literal $1000s in receipts documenting all work necessitated to make it that way.
has the head gasket been replaced? leak down test results?

Such a stunning color combination! Refreshing to see as opposed to the tan, white, and silver I'm accustomed to seeing.

Sometimes your words just hypnotize me, and I just love your flashy ways.... If you've seen the music vid, you know why its fitting here :) Very pretty color combo. GLWTA!

Looks great! Ahh, Ahhlmadine Red - a rare color on A124s. Almost matches the Virginia Tech maroon! Actually, this is a non-ASR option car. There is no button on the dash, nor is there the little screen on the odometer which would indicate such. It's a needless complication anyway, which won't be missed on this type of car, unless one decides to drive in bad weather, which is doubtful for an A124 Cabriolet these days. Yes, it does look well-cared for. Kudos to the seller for doing the right things with this car. One note: MB factory didn't offer chromed rims in 1995. Perhaps the selling dealer or original owner added them. Best wishes for a great result!
