This 1990 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL is finished in Nautical Blue Metallic (929) over Palomino (264) leather, and power is provided by a 5.5-liter M117 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The car is being relisted on The MB Market after the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment on the original listing. Equipment includes automatic climate control, cruise control, heated front seats, a sunroof, a Becker stereo, and 15″ Gullideckel wheels. An oil service was performed in preparation for the sale. Now showing just under 110k miles, this W126 is offered by the selling dealer in California with factory literature, a recent Carfax report, and clean California title.
The exterior is finished in Nautical Blue Metallic (929) with contrasting light blue lower cladding and features headlight wipers, a sliding metal sunroof with tilt function, and a power antenna. Close-up photos of the paintwork, trim, and lenses are provided in the gallery below.
The car was previously sold on The MB Market and is now relisted after the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment on the original listing. As a result, the prior winning bidder has been banned from future auctions and their buyer's fee was not refunded.
Factory 15″ Gullideckel alloy wheels wear a set of Cooper Evolution tires measuring 215/65 on all four corners. Braking is handled by four wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features Palomino leather (264) seating surfaces and wood trim on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Amenities include a powered sunroof, electrically adjustable and heated front seats, automatic climate control, a Becker Grand Prix cassette stereo, and cruise control.
The airbag-equipped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with an integrated clock, along with gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and fuel economy. The six-digit odometer shows 109k miles which are believed to be accurate and reflected accordingly in the Carfax report.
The 5.5-liter M117 V8 features Bosch KE-Jetronic fuel injection and was rated at 238 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque from the factory. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. An oil service was performed in August 2022.
Factory literature, original tool roll, floor mats, and spare items included in the sale are shown in the gallery.
The Carfax report first updates in 1995 and shows history in California with one accident reported in 2008.
A video below shows an exterior walk around and interior tour of the car.

Hi Everyone, went through the car, AC blows ICE cold, radio works however sound comes out of the passenger speaker only, windows are all operational, Seats all move forward and recline including the rear seat. Small tear and blemish on pass rear seat, a center console button is pushed down and some small cracks on the paint on the hood (will post photos) We think the car is in pretty good condition given the age and miles however anyone is welcome to have a PPI done prior to the auction ending. Please reach out to arrange.

@sgrotegut Unless stated on carfax we do not have any records of such. @greglinarelli we have owned the car since 2019 thus why the mileage has not changed. @pepaglobal as far as mechanical we just have what is listed in carfax and do not have records of such. The chrome trim on the trunk handle area does show signs of fading. The roof does have some paint fade as well that can be seen in the photo. We do not have any knowledge regarding the engine bay.
@herlofs it was not about the car. Something came up and said he had to cancel. Will check into other questions as soon as I get into the office
It the odometer broken? Carfax shows the same miles since 2019.

Few questions for the seller: Hello, I love these cars , work on them ever since they came on the market. - was the complete timing chain repair was done? (chain, 3 upper chain rails, tensioner rail, tensioner, cam oilers) - were the accumulators and rear shocks for hydraulic suspension ever replaced? Could you provide video pushing hard on the trunk of the trunk of the car several times? - is the excessive chrome trim fading? (pictures 20,21) - is the paint on the roof ok? Looks strange in picture 23. - what happened in the engine compartment? Valve cover paint is coming off, never saw anything like that on 200k mile 116 or 117 engine. Sorry for so many questions, I really love these cars, I am considering to swap my 1991 350sd for gasoline 126 Benz as one of my retirement Benzes to take with me back to Europe. Thank you.
