@Stuttgart_Steel Probably the only one listed in this condition.
@W124loverI do.
@Smcase22 When turning the crank in full revolutions with a manual compression check. Good compression there as the cylinders are sealing well. Each time a piston comes up there’s a noticeable increase in effort to turn the crankshaft. Consistently throughout. Solid. Please let me know if you have questions.
I would note that the fuel distributor air flow meter was sitting atop outside of the crate on a shelf and as you can see shows some oxidation on the outside of the lines. Internals clean.
@Manskraftthe engine was pulled out of the crate for pictures and lightly disassembled (valve covers/ oil pan) to provide more detail for the ad. judging by the condition of the cam lobes, lack of carbon buildup on the cylinder heads/underneath the valve covers, strong hatching on the cylinder walls, and factory plastic plugs -- the engine seems to be in great shape. it spins freely and there doesn't seem to be any belt wear on any of the pulleys. This engine has been sitting in the crate for many years. My uncle had many Mercedes vehicles and parts. Straight off the boat German.
@Mbb79184Hi there! if the buyer wants to set up and take care of the shipment I would gladly work with them. I could fortify the crate and prep for shipping.
@Ajmercdepends the location but for the right price that’s very possible.
@DakotaB link to pictures/videos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/C365P1kXNkT5LuSg9 I acquired this vehicle from my uncles estate upon his passing in 2019. It has been in my garage, stored since. there was no documentation provided to me just a title and what my aunt could recall. I dont have information on the TMU aspect of this vehicle. When i acquired this car i had to title it from the owner that it was purchased from in 1999 as executor of the estate because he did not. i attribute this to his extensive collection that he realistically couldn't get to. this being said i was told the vehicle was driven to storage and started periodically. To answer you question about the mileage when purchased i would assume its about exactly as what it shows now as when he bought it. the odometer still runs. there is slight fogging in the left lower corner of the back window and very slight fogging on the right side corner. (adding pictures now). I spoke to someone that is well versed with these vehicles to answer your question. he advised me to check under the seal of the back window where the body lip meets the window for rust. there is zero rust along the entire bottom of the window. inside the trunk looking upwards at the steel panel with the holes there is absolutely no rust and it looks practically new. (adding pictures now). posting a cold start video now. all the lights work the wood paneling is intact. there are a few spots you can see by the doors where it is separating but over all in decent shape. i do not have any insight on why the radio is not working. it does turn on and illuminate but there is no sound. maybe due to the antenna? in the description its mentioned that the antenna does not extend. I have not tried a cassette seeing i do not own one. when i roll the fade knob in the center console i do hear static in the speakers. aside from whats mentioned in the description the heated seats work. the power seat adjusters work, power mirror and all windows work. sunroof moves well and fully opens and closes. as mentioned this vehicle has barely been driven since 1999. i have the license plate last registered in 00'. the car starts instantly seems to shift perfectly. the car brakes just fine. The exhaust smells rich upon start up. the only thing that was done to the vehicle when acquired was drain gas tank and replace fuel pumps with Bosch OEM parts for good measure as to not ingest possible tank sediment from sitting. I would not drive the vehicle as normal without a tuneup, obliviously as it has essentially sat for two decades. I have not driven the car more than 5 miles. There are no idiot lights or service lights illuminated on the instrument cluster other than windshield fluid which is empty. please let me know if you have any other questions.
@tcstraker sorry for the late response. yes we could make that happen. link to extra photos/videos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/C365P1kXNkT5LuSg9
@CarScribedo you have questions on the vehicle? sorry I am new to this style auction and have replied to the person below with my contact information earlier and have not heard back. adding pictures and responses now. I acquired this vehicle from my uncles passing in 2019 without any documentation just a title. link to extra photos/videos: https://photos.app.goo.gl/C365P1kXNkT5LuSg9
@Mountainrd27 I do not know anything in regards to over spray that you're seeing. If it was from the factory I do not know. the paint itself look great.
@DakotaBthere is no rust on the vehicle. No accidents. The vehicle was purchased (1999) and sat mostly since, only barely driven. No car fax history because there was nothing to report. I do not know why there is a mileage discrepancy. Again this vehicle has mainly been in storage since 1999 and reflects that.
