Good afternoon everyone! We are looking forward to the final hours of the auction! I am happy to help arrange shipping & make storage arrangements for any bidders. I will also be available to answer any questions! Best of luck everyone and bid with confidence! Someone will be winning a beautiful car!
Thank you, I know the system is functioning properly but thought possibly there was a test I could perform and verify without a trip to a Mercedes mechanic. Thanks
@MSerpe Hi thank you! The hydraulic suspension operates correctly and are no vacuum leaks that I am aware of. I’m not sure how to run a test but if you let me know, I would be happy to shoot a video. When it arrived and was taken off the flat bed. The leveling light on the dash illuminated and you could see the car rise up after it was started. When it reached the correct height the light went off. There is a service receipt in the gallery which shows the pump being replaced in 2020 For the 4 weeks I’ve had the car in the garage the suspension has not deflated and have been no leaks on the floor. Thanks!
Good afternoon! I just uploaded undercarriage photos. They should be live shortly. Thanks!
@nptmbm Yes, I will have access to a lift and post undercarriage photos on Thursday Thanks!
@570TE Yes, the car was originally purchased at Leo Payne Imports in Lakewood Colorado 4-29-78 The car remained in Colorado with the owners family until it was purchased from the daughter by the current owner. Unfortunately the service records from the original owner were misplaced over the years. Thanks!
@PhantomU The owner prefers black cars. He’s not a big fan of red, and decided to have it professionally re-painted black. Thanks!
@570TE The car has been in the owners collection and only driven a few hundred miles a year. Lake Barrington Motorsports does the service on all the owners vehicles, I asked them to print the service records just prior to the auction. Yes, the mileage is correct and will state actual on the title. Thanks!
@MKotzas No, I’m sorry we do not have the original wheels for the car. Thanks!
This car spent the majority of its life with wool covers on the seats. I removed them to take the photos. It appears they were never treated with a leather conditioner and have dried a bit with age. Thanks!
@Rado Congratulations! Thanks everyone for all the great feedback! This is the first car we have listed on MB Market I'm extremely pleased with the whole experience. Much faster getting the car listed and the level of service provided compared to the competition! I have a 1978 Mercedes 6.9 with 37k original miles. I will be listing here next and look forward to another successful auction! Thanks
Yes, these cars do drive beautifully.. Good luck bidders, we are pretty close!

Hello MB Market and welcome to our 1970 Mercedes Benz 600 Auction! This is our first listing on MB Market and look forward to A successful auction! This particular car is owned by a very close client and Mercedes collector. He has loved and cared for the car for the last 15 years. It was acquired from a friend of his who had owned the car for 20 years prior to that. It has always been well maintained and serviced under their ownership. The car runs and drives exceptionally well. The only issues are a few very minor cosmetic flaws shown in the photos, (seat wear, wood checking etc.) Mechanically it is very solid. Strong engine, transmission and the hydraulic suspension all function perfectly. I will be available to answer any questions during the auction and would be happy to take phone calls or any inquiries! Thanks everyone & good luck with the auction.
Thank you! Yes, it definitely attracts attention! Every time I've had it out it draws a crowd!
