This set of Bosch R107 European headlamps and corner lights is offered for sale as a used set removed from a R107 280SL. These headlamps feature a single glass lens at the front, original seals, bulbs, plugs, and original rear covers. Suitable for any R107 model produced between 1971 and 1989, the European glass headlamp is suitable replacement for North American headlamps or cars with damaged or missing European headlamps. Also included are the matching Euro corner lamps showing Germany as the place of manufacture and accompanying part numbers. This set is located in Los Angeles, California and may be shipped at the buyer's expense.

The original Bosch glass lenses show normal wear and the plastic housing is free from any cracks. Factory part numbers for the headlights are present reading 1305620-113 and 1305620-114. The European corner lights feature a dark amber color and show Germany stamped on each lens.

Yellow factory decals denote left and right fitment for the lamps and the original seals, bulbs, plugs, and covers are included in the sale. The lights are noted to function properly and all tabs are intact for proper installation.

The MB Market Insights

For the vast majority of classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles, the European versions got not only slimmer and more sleek bumpers thanks to different safety standards, they also got better headlights. This is true for various models but the topic today is the R107. While the smaller circular headlight with the plastic surround was somehow safer for the US models, they arguably provided less usable light on the road and, if we're being honest, are not nearly as attractive as the European versions. The full glass beam headlights provided a very clean look and makes a dramatic difference in the appearance of any R107. While sets can be difficult to find today from credited sources, occasionally nice sets become available and this is certainly one of them. Whether you're looking for the perfect upgrade to your US spec SL or just just need to have these on hand for a future project or replacement, these are the perfect pair to get as they are only becoming more rare by the day.
