The MB Market Insights
There's nothing more impactful to the aesthetic of a vehicle than the wheels. For Mercedes-Benz, the iconic AMG monoblocks are the crown jewel providing the perfect amount of classic and modern style. These wheels are stylistic kings for AMG Mercedes vehicles, and for R129 and W210 vehicles specifically, monoblock wheels make a huge improvement to the aesthetic. We love the high polished lips on this set which have been refinished to a high standard. These are the exact matching HWA part number versions that were used on the W210 E55 AMG and R129 Sport models from the factory. We've also seen them regularly fitted to W126s, W202s, and W208s although they fit other models as well. There's no easier way to increase both the value and curb appeal of your Benz instantly.
Hi @RT52.
1. The Front wheels are made in Austria and the Rear wheels are from Belgium.
2. The shadow cast over the ball seats in some close up photos makes it tough to see but these holes are clean bare metal with no paint or powder-coat in them.
3. Not to worry you are correct this is a mould parting line in the finish not a crack. These wheels have no cracks of any kind.
4. These wheels were spun on the balancer during the refinishing process and are all straight with no bends of any kind. These wheels never have been welded since there are no cracks.
5. Shipping to Campinas-SP, Brazil will be $500.
Hi, great looking set. A few questions:
1. I noticed one of the front wheels is cast “Made in Austria” while others show “Made in Belgium”. Are both front wheels the same casting as each other, and both rears the same as each other?
2. The bolt seats appear masked in the photos. Were the masks removed after refinishing, and are the ball seats now clean bare metal with no paint or powder coat in them?
3. There is a faint line running across the recess near the “HLB 2.204” marking, visible on more than one wheel. I assume this is a mould parting line rather than a crack — can you confirm?
4. Have all four wheels been checked for radial and lateral runout? Any prior welding, repair or straightening?
5. What would be the shipping cost to Campinas-SP, Brazil (CEP 13098594)?
Hi everyone. I am excited to be posting these Staggered 18” Aero II Monoblocks. As mentioned in the listing, these wheels were factory on the W210 E55 and the R129 SL. These wheels are a direct fit for the W202, W203, W208, and R170 with no spacers needed. I have also seen these fitted on the 500E for the W124 and on W126s. I am here to answer any questions.
