This 1990 Mercedes-Benz 300SEL is a two-owner example from California that remained under the original owner's care until 2022 when it was purchased by the current seller. Finished in Smoke Silver Metallic (702) over Palomino Leather (264), power is provided by a 3.0-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed automatic transmission. Factory equipment includes a power tilt/slide sunroof, a power passenger-side mirror, headlamp wiper/washers, a telescoping steering column, power seats with memory, automatic climate control and a Continental head unit. Documented service since new is kept between the original owner's record booklet and receipts. The most recent service this year included an oil service, new front brake pads, and an AC service. This W126 is now offered for sale by the owner with original manufacturer’s literature, original spare wheel and tire, tool roll, a clean Carfax report and a clean California title.
The body is finished in Smoke Silver Metallic (702) and features a two-tone lower body cladding and chrome trim along the front and rear bumpers, belt line, and grille. Exterior features include a power tilt/slide sunroof, heated door mirrors with a power-passenger side, a Continental head unit with bluetooth capability, headlamp wiper/washers, an automatic antenna and heat insulating glass with an electrically-heated rear window. The seller notes a scratch on the passenger side of the car which has been previously touched up and only visible in direct sunlight. No accidents appear on the Carfax and the body has no rust with detailed photos provided in the gallery.
Original 15” Gullideckel wheels are fitted with a set of GoodYear Assurance tires measuring 205/70 on all four corners. Normal wear marks can be seen on the wheels. The front brake pads were replaced in May 2024. A full-size spare is located under the trunk floor with the original tool roll.
The cabin is trimmed in Palomino Leather (264) with matching carpets, a black dashboard and Zebrano wood trim which lines the center console, dashboard and door panels. Both front seats are power adjustable and offer two-position memory with the driver side linked to the power telescoping steering column. The leather and wood surfaces are reportedly in well-kept condition and remain original. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a high-performance sound system and a Continental head unit. The seller reports all electronics to be in good working order and the AC was recently serviced with a photo verifying it in full working order.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer along with a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, economy, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer currently shows just over 90k miles from new, approximately 20k of which have been added by the seller over the last 2.5 years.
This W126 is powered by a 3.0-liter M103 inline-six which produces 177 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The most recent service in June 2024 included an oil & filter change, along with an AC service. In May 2024 the car received new front brake pads and sensors. The original owner kept extensive service records in his personal auto record booklet which details maintenance from 1990-2015. Receipts for services performed have been kept since 2015.
The Carfax report shows history exclusively in California with no accident or damage reports, and linear mileage updates since new. The seller notes the California tags will be renewed with a newe sticker before transfer for the new owner. This 300SEL is now offered for sale in Los Angeles, California with service history records since new, the original manufacturer’s literature, original spare wheel and tire, tool roll, a clean Carfax report and a clean California title.

The original owner owned the car from 1990 to 2022, which is when I purchased the car and have owned the last 2 years.
