Collecting, preserving, and sharing no longer available parts is a civic duty every one of us classic Mercedes-Benz owners must perform. The Mercedes-Benz Classic Center is not perfect by any stretch and really needs to study the classic support Porsche has for its customers. To keep most of these older cars on the road, it’s down to us – the owners – to keep them on the road through our community. Mercedes-Benz, unfortunately, left it up to us to support these cars. The MB Market is zealous to continue providing parts that keep cars out of yards and on the road. This Tempomat Cruise Control system is unique and fabulous to see. Cars lose their systems due to many things: age, use, water intrusion, rodent damage, heat, and other factors. It’s a Mercedes-Benz afterall – they’re driven and used regularly because they are tough, reliable, fun, and safe even by today’s standards. Parts auctions like this are vital in keeping the pulse throbbing for enthusiasts. A lot of the parts in this auction can only be found in pull-a-parts and in questionable condition. To find them new (especially the brackets and wiring harness) is exciting and we’re here to support the Mercedes-Benz community. While small, auctions like these are arguably more important than anything else.
