This 1997 Mercedes-Benz E62 Lorinser wagon was first registered to, and converted by, the German tuning outfit Lorinser in July of 1997, and was featured at the Geneva Auto Show by Lorinser. The car began life as an E420T from the factory, and it was further modified by Lorinser with a MKB built 6.2-liter M119 V8, big brake kit, Lorinser multi-piece wheels, full Lorinser body kit, custom exhaust, bespoke interior, and much more. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over custom black/blue leather interior, additional features include a Philips integrated navigation unit, a Pioneer upgraded sound system, sport suspension, wood and leather steering wheel, xenon headlights, and polished Lorinser door sills. Recent service in preparation for the sale includes all new spark plugs, coil packs, new springs, shifter bushings, A/C system recharge, new battery, new Michelin tires, alignment, fan clutch, and a rebuilt fuel sender. The previous owner performed a full restoration including oil and filter service, head gaskets, and fuel pump. Now with 162k kilometers (~101k miles), this S210 Lorinser E62 wagon is now offered on behalf of the seller out of Marietta, Georgia with a Lorinser certificate of authentication, service records, Lorinser build sheet, engine refresh, recent service records, manufacturer's literature, stamped service book, and a clean Georgia title.
The body is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features a full Lorinser body kit including the front bumper, rocker panel covers, rear bumper, and hatch spoiler. The seller has added photographs of all the body cladding stamps in the gallery below. Additional exterior details include xenon headlights with washers and new xenon bulbs, fog lamps, an electric slide and tilt sunroof, and factory heat rejecting blue glass. Squared-off Lorinser exhaust tips peek out from under the Lorinser bumper mated to a full Lorisner Sebring exhaust system with pictures of the Lorinster branding on the rear muffler and rear resonator. The seller notes a full repaint was done during the restoration of the car and has included paint meter readings of every panel. Three small paint chips are shown on the rear right of the spoiler.
The factory wheels have been replaced with multi-piece five-spoke 19″ Lorinser wheels wearing 245/35 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 All Season tires with 2025 date codes. The car features a sport suspension with lowering springs at the rear and new H&Rs at the front. An additional option checked during the Lorinser build is the reinforced Lucas Lorinser big brake kit. The seller shows the brake caliper adapters in the undersides of the gallery and in the video. 320mm brake rotors are equipped in the front with a larger four piston Lucas/Lorinser brake caliper system retrofitted to fit over the larger rotors. A wheel alignment was performed in preparation for the sale. The Lorinser specific wheel hub cap wrench is included and detailed in the gallery.
The interior is trimmed in bespoke Lorinser black and blue leather with matching door panels. Optioned dark birdseye maple wood trim adorns the dashboard, center console, and door panels that was installed during the Lorinser conversion. The front memory powered seats were reupholstered in perforated blue and black leather seat covers to resemble the R129 seat pattern. The rear seats also resemble the SL style seat leather pattern to match the front. A Lorinser shift knob extends out of the center console with new shifter bushings attached. This S210 comes factory equipped with ASR, power adjustable mirrors, dual climate control, and cruise control. A period correct Philips navigation unit is installed where the ash tray would go as well as an upgraded Pioneer head unit below the climate control fascia. Polished Lorinser door sill plates are installed under all four doors. The seat bottom intermittently does not want to move the seat forward. The fuel gauge sender was rebuilt by the seller and now reads accurate fuel level and new bulbs were installed in the A/C panel in preparation for the sale.
The leather and birds eye maple trimmed pre-facelift four spoke steering wheel frames a Lorinser branded 300-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 162k kilometers (~101k miles). A bulb in the instrument cluster behind the fuel gauge is out due to a bad solder in the cluster.
The Lorinser 6.2-liter M119 V8 was reportedly built by MKB in-period out of the 4.2-liter M119 and now measures at 6194 ccm. It was named the E62 by Lorinser at the time. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed 722.6 automatic transmission. Power was estimated at 394 horsepower and 450 ft/lbs of torque. Recent service in preparation for the sale includes all new Bosch spark plugs, coil packs, A/C system recharge, new battery, fan clutch, fuel evap hoses, and a rebuilt fuel sender. The previous owner performed a full restoration including oil and filter service, head gaskets, and fuel pump. A Lorinser Sebring exhaust has been installed and detailed underside pictures are included in the gallery showing a dry ice blasting was performed. A yellow Lorinser airbox sits atop the big M119. A thorough underside walkaround video has been included along with underside photos.
A cold start video of the car is provided along with a walkaround, driving, and underside inspection.
Are you really an enthusiast if you don’t like a long roof? Just kidding. We’re not going to gatekeep (but are you?). We all own rare wagons at The MB Market. It’s arguably our favorite segment of car since you get the handling capabilities of a sedan with the cargo room of a full sized SUV. They’re a bit taboo here in the States, unfortunately. They got a bad stigma from the ‘60s until the ‘90s since they were known as family haulers and where your youth met a dead end if you bought one. Or that’s what the Baby Boomers tell us. Wagons are cool again as Gen X and Millennials grow fond of cars we grew up in as kids. What’s cooler than a regular station wagon? A fast wagon. Sure, but what about a ‘90s tuner wagon with a bored and stroked quad-cam V8? The M119 engine is legendary and was used in the Sauber C11 of which the names of Jochen Mass, Michael Shumacher, and Geinz-Harald Fretzen won races with. This E62 Wagon started life as a E420T and got juiced up by the steroid outfit known as Lorinser, utilizing a 6.2-liter M119 that made just about 400 horsepower and 450 earth pounding foot-pounds of torque. RENNtech were making the E60 RS and AMG were making their E60s in both the W124 and W210. Tuners loved the M119 engine as it was undertuned from the factory for durability purposes. Sauber showed that you can add two turbos to the engine in 5.0-liter form and make 730-horsepower in race trim if needed. Complete with a Lorinser Certificate of Authenticity, a huge engine refresh, and restoration done by Marc Luca in Germany, this is one of the rarest 210s we’ve ever seen…and one of the fastest.

@Rhdz63la it should pass CA emissions testing, if you convince the tester that it's the stock 4.2L engine. Still has the factory catalysts. However, because this is a Euro-spec car it likely will be difficult to title in CA without paying for the federalization process, which could cost $10k or more.$1,000 bid placed by @Toni1990
Will it pass California smog6.1L M119! Sweet! How many working keys are included? Also - the documentation shows displacement as 6076cc. Is the listing description stating 6194cc an error? It's been a week full of big block M119s, so here's another! This is Lorinser's Geneva show car and is a variant of 210 we never got here in the States: V8 powered wagon. Started out life as a E420T which is cool in stock form, but it got a punched out 6.2 liter M119, body kit, suspension work, big brake kit, and a bespoke interior. This is a quintessential '90s tuner car and we're lucky to have it in wagon form. Really proud and honored to have this car on my profile. I've spent the past few weeks with it, driving it, living with it, wrenching on it, and seeing it next to my E63 wagon in the garage is wild to behold. I'm a big M119 nerd, so driving this one around has been a dream. It's RAPID. I have a ton of photos covering every facet of the car and a lengthy video. All of the flaws are pointed out in the copy and video since transparency is key and there wasn't a lot to nit pick luckily. Only a handful were made making this one of the rarest cars I've dealt with. This was an ex Marc Luca car that we dialed in further to get to my standard to sell. It is complete with a Lorinser certificate of authenticity. The best part? It's now in the U.S. No need to risk it traveling over the ocean and worrying about paperwork and fees. It has a Georgia title. Let me know if you have any questions! I'm available for phone calls and showings if needed. Thanks!
