This 1990 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC shows registration in California and Florida from new with just 75k miles shown on the odometer. Finished in Arctic White (147) over Gray Leather (268), power is provided by a 5.5-liter M117 V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Factory equipment includes heated and power-adjustable front seats with memory, a power tilt/slide sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, self-leveling rear suspension, a power passenger-side mirror and a Becker Mexico radio. Extensive maintenance was undertaken by the seller including all new brakes, new suspension bushings, an A/C service, a new fuel filter and hose, new tires and an engine oil change. This 560SEC is now offered for sale by the current owner in Sarasota, Florida with a clean Carfax report and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The pillarless body is finished in Arctic White (147) with contrasting gray lower body cladding separated by chrome trim along the beltline. Exterior equipment includes an automatic antenna, a power sunroof, headlamp wiper/washers, front fog lamps, a power passenger-side door mirror and a heated rear window. The body is in good condition showing no signs of corrosion or damage and no accidents appearing on the Carfax report.
The factory 15” Gullideckel wheels were recently fitted with a new set of Michelin Defender tires measuring 205/65 on all four corners. Self-leveling rear suspension is standard equipment with the seller recently replacing the SLS pull rod. Additional maintenance items from June 2023 include new brake calipers, pads, rotors and hoses, new wheel bearing seals, new reaction bushings, guide rod bushings and lower ball joints.
The cabin is upholstered in Gray Leather (268) with a black leather dashboard, gray carpet and headliner and Burl Walnut wood trim which lines the center console, dashboard and door panels. The wood trim is in good condition with only minor hairline cracks around the window switches. Both front seats are heated and power adjustable with two-position memory for both passenger and driver. Additional interior appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, automatic seat belt presenters, a telescoping steering column, a high-performance audio system and a Becker Mexico Grand Prix radio. The A/C was recently recharged and received a new pressure switch, temperature switch and drier. The seller reports that both the plastic trim and headliner are beginning to show age with minor stains visible on the headliner.
The four-spoke leather wrapped steering wheel fronts analog instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, economy, coolant temperature and oil pressure. A digital outside temperature sensor is included at the bottom of the instrument cluster. The six-digit odometer currently shows just 75k miles from new with 1,500 miles added by the current owner in the past year.
This C126 is powered by a 5.5-liter M117 V8 which produces 238 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission equipped with a limited-slip differential. Maintenance from June 2023 included an engine oil and oil filter change, a new fuel filter and hose, a new accessory belt, new shifter bushings, a new front flex disc and a differential service. Underbody photos have been provided by the seller and are viewable in the photo gallery.
The Carfax report shows this 560SEC being sold new in California where the car remained through 2017 when the car was brought to Florida and later purchased by the seller in 2022. Linear mileage updates are shown from new with no accidents or damage reports present. This pillarless coupe is now offered for sale by the current owner in Sarasota, Florida with a clean Carfax report and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
A video provided by the seller is viewable below.
A cold start video is included below.
In his own words, Bruno Sacco recalled the C126 as the car with the most beautiful front end he had ever designed. Maybe that explains why one of the two cars in Sacco’s personal collection was indeed a late model year C126. This coupe was a greatly anticipated replacement to the last grand touring coupe offered, the SLC class. Without offering a coupe in the W116 platform, Stuttgart wanted a Grand Tourer returned to the S-Class lineup. Sacco delivered - he was able to encapsulate the elegance of the trademark Mercedes pillarless silhouette into an entirely redesigned Autobahn cruising machine. These Grand Touring coupes have been gaining popularity in recent years as demand for cars from the analog era has continued to creep up. This example comes finished in a period-appropriate Arctic White paint and shows extensive maintenance undertaken by the current owner. Showing just 75k miles and spending the majority of its life in California, this example is sure to provide many thousands more miles of luxury excellence to its lucky new owner.

My daily driver is a 560sec. I have driven this car and it is better than advertised. This shop specializes in classic Mercedes. They have several sec in their inventory and several clients for service. They know what they are doing. The lower cladding is near perfect, better than my car. I didn't see anything this car needed.

Paint meter readings, A/C temp readings, a Cold Start video and the most recent service invoice have been added to the listing.
@Mbenzaddict Thanks for commenting! We will get a paint meter on it ASAP. We made sure everything was working as expected before we submitted the listing and would be happy to set up an in person inspection.

Just beautiful with a ton of detailed pics and vid - thanks! I do have a few questions. Can you do paint meter to confirm no body/paint work? Is anything in need of attention/not working? sounds like you did a lot of updates so just wanted to be sure. If I want to set up an in person inspection can you accommodate?
A startup/driving/walkaround video has been added to the listing.
