This 1990 Mercedes-Benz 560SEC was originally ordered for the Japanese market and currently resides in Kuwait with the seller who has spent the last two years fully restoring the car. Finished in Blue Black Metallic (199) over a Black Leather (261) interior, this converted widebody C126 is powered by an M117 5.5-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. The car has undergone an extensive restoration over the last two years using all OEM parts which included a rebuild of the engine and gearbox, all fresh fluids, all rubber seals, gaskets, refinished wood trim, a custom AMG widebody style kit, multi-piece AMG wheels, a professional repaint, and much more. Equipment includes a sliding steel sunroof, automatic climate control, power-adjustable and heated front Recaro seats, an AMG Momo steering wheel, and extended wood grain. This C126 now shows 178k kilometers (~110k miles) and is offered by the seller with partial records from the restoration, manufacturer’s books & literature, and a clean Kuwait title.
The bodywork has been refinished to factory specifications in PPG Blue Black Metallic (199/aka Black Pearl Metallic) along with the install of the widebody kit. The AMG widebody-style body kit consists of both front and rear bumpers, all four fenders, a trunk lip spoiler, and extended side skirts. All lights are new OEM units. The car is equipped with a sliding steel sunroof, amber corner lights, and Euro-spec headlamps. The chrome trim was also painted during the repaint and the entire car has been protected with a paint protection film on each panel inclulding the lights and trim. Additionally, the windows have been thermal tinted to reduce heat inside the car.
Custom multi-piece AMG wheels are mounted with Kumho Ecsta PS71 tires measuring 245/45 up front and 275/40 in the rear. The faces of the wheels are from a set of original 2-piece AMG Aero II wheels and are made by BBS. The body is lowered on new H&R sport springs with Bilstein B8 shocks. Additional maintenance includes new control arms, Febi Bilstein support link kits (right and left), Lemforder ball joints, TruckTec steering stabilizers, and new OEM brakes.
The cabin has been restored with new Black Leather (261) per the original datacard. Refinished Burl Walnut trim accents the dashboard, center console, door cards, and center storage lid. Extended AMG wood trim is found on the dashboard speaker grills, shift knob, gauge cluster, rear ashtray covers, side grips on the rear seats, and door panels including the pocket, upper trim molding, and triangle mirror covers. Custom AMG-branded front floor mats have been installed. Ameneties include automatic climate control, heated front Recaro CSE seats, and power assist features including the sunroof, rear view mirror, windows, and seat adjustments which all reportedly in full working order. The wooden shift knob is custom along with the stamps on the Recaro seats. Added features include OEM door speakers and grills, an OEM rear rolller blind, OEM antenna height control switch, and Nokia 6090 phone. The original Panasonic TV screen mounted in the dash is noted to be the only item inoperable.
The AMG Momo M38 steering wheel is said to wear it's original leather and frames a white AMG-branded gauge cluster showing a 300kph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and fuel economy. The six-digit odometer shows 178k kilometers (~110k miles).
The factory 5.6-liter M117 V8 was rebuilt during the restoration process. The engine was factory-rated for 296 horsepower with 336 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic 722.3 transmission which was also rebuilt. The entire chassis and undercarriage parts went through complete restoration & cleaning before being sprayed with layer of 3M rust protection paint that is thin enough to show all original numbers. A list of maintenance items addressed during the restoration is outlined below:
After a two year comprehensive restoration, this widebodied C126 is now being offered by the seller in Kuwait with partial records (in Kuwaiti Dinar) from the restoration, manufacturer’s books & literature, and a clean Kuwait title.
Videos of the car have been provided by the seller below.

IMHO, i think Christmas day was not the best time to have an auction. Plus, the car being in Kuwait also prevented additional bidders from the U.S.
Hopefully high bidder and seller can work it out? I think being in Kuwait held this one back as it could easily be an $80k car if in US.
Nice $$for a nice car! GLWA

A preemptive Merry Christmas to whoever gets this under the tree today!
@DW168 @6thinline9 I got to know that exporting and shipping from Kuwait to USA costs around $3,750 to $4,000.

AMG? More like OMG! So if I hit the lotto tonight... LOVE THIS!
@TheAMGKit I don't have such videos now, but possible
Shall we be getting driving videos start up etc?
@Edmound23 Car is in perfect working condition everything has been serviced down to the bolt, nothing to repair or worry about except the TV unit as mentioned above (which is out-dated) As for storage; during summer and hot weather the car is stored in an underground garage with A/C, and in winter/good weather car is parked in my building's basement parking.

@6thinline9 Unfortanetly, I don't have any experience in such matters as it is my first time to sell a car overseas But as for papers required from Kuwait I will handle everything and I can link the buyer with an agency in Kuwait that can help
@Afifj per the link you posted, it looks like this site’s policy is that shipping is the buyers responsibility. If you have any experience in the matter, can you give us an idea of what’s all required to ship to the US from Kuwait? Beautiful restoration by the way.
please answer email.
@DW168 You are absolutely right, below is the link that states all related details for sellers and buyers; https://thembmarket.com/how-it-works Thank for highlighting this point
@Afifj , if there is a specific section of the MB Market website that details this info, I think it would benefit you as the seller to specifically direct a potential bidder/buyer to it. To simply state "Please refer to MBmarket seller and buyer responsibilities" is not helpful...and dissuades a customer from bidding. Many U.S. customers are wary of bidding/purchasing a vehicle from overseas b/c they are unsure of the process involved.
@Alphadelta For sure they are real, the one you are mentioning is 72.000 KWD (Seventy two kuwaiti dinars) its for spare parts and it converts to $234 (Two hundred thirty four us dollars only) Now for AMG KWT; its the Garage I deal with and you can check their instagram page to see if it is real or fake https://www.instagram.com/amgkwt?igshid=ZGNjOWZkYTE3MQ== As for the invoice numbers being close, because I asked for the invoices recently I did not have them before at the time the work has been done. I deal with them for all my cars I don't ask for invoices, so they went back to job orders on their system and generated new invoices for me. Job orders might carry different numbers however invoices recently generated will have close numbers. The total amount spent in all invoices is no where near 400,000 USD. Anyhow, am glad you like the car
@DW168 Please refer to MBmarket seller and buyer responsibilities
Are those receipts real or did someone make them up? The reason I ask is because on the one that says 72,000 that converts to $234,000 USD. Also on the ones from AMG KWT co the dates are so far apart yet the invoice number are off by only 1 digit. It’s a beautiful car and a nice reproduction but the only thing that bothers me is those invoices don’t seem to add up. I don’t think you would spend almost $400k USD on a replica. Any reason they look like that?
@seller, will you assist with all aspects of getting the vehicle approved and shipped to USA port of entry?

very nice build tell us which body kit was used, PR tuning, Duraflex, Custom metal, fiberglass molds from an original.....?
@SwissBliss all buttons on the seats work, fully functional
@seller - Can you confirm that 100% of the functions/buttons on the Recaro CSE seats work? As in, do they operate via the seat controls with 10+ functions, or do they only work with the 3 function OEM door controls...?
Beautiful!
