The body is finished in Midnight Blue (904) and wears North American spec bumpers, headlamps, and tail lamps. The brightwork appears to be complete along with all original glass and trim. Exterior features include a blue matching removable hardtop, a folding blue soft top, power antenna, fog lights, and chrome mirror caps. The car has seen a full repaint in the factory color at some point in its life with some defects shown in the gallery on the hood and the front fender. The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation with an 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and an analog clock. We're still around for the final hour. I'm glad people are seeing how cool this is-yes it needs some love but 904 over navy is SO good looking and it's still such a pleasant drive. Good luck to all bidding and an early congrats to the winner- you'll love it.$4,000 bid placed by @pillayw126

@playswithcars That's how we've seen it too. I actually took it home for a night and commuted with it. Held up quite nicely.Looks like a great driver & a car a tinkerer would love.We did the service items and inspection on the car and found this example super charming. Midnight blue is wonderful and we love the story that goes to the car. The previous owner rallied the heck out of it and the damn thing feels sturdy when you drive it. It feels eager to supply a lot more joy to the next owner and the engine was stout. I’ve driven a lot of 450s and this one felt pretty quick compared to the others.I know this has been a quiet auction so far- Those who have reached out separately, thank you. This car came from a local Mercedes enthusiast’s collection, and we’ve spent some time preparing it for its next owner. Recent work includes the timing chain tensioner, alternator, engine and transmission mounts, steering linkages, and soft top release cable. We’ve also put approximately 100 miles on it to get acquainted with the car. It has the wear and items to address outlined in the description, and we’ve included a detailed underside, walkaround, and driving video to help everyone get a feel for it. I encourage bidders to spend some time with those and the photo gallery. I’ll be following along throughout the last few days of the auction, so please ask questions or reach out if there’s something you’d like to see more closely.$1,250 bid placed by @hundaolshamsan
