This 1984 Mercedes-Benz 380SL first shows registration history in South Carolina with subsequent registrations noted in Georgia, Arizona, and Florida. The car currently shows 90k miles (TMU) and was acquired by the seller in 2020. The SL is finished in Light Ivory (623) over Palomino Leather (254), and power is provided by a 3.8-liter V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Recent services include new brake pads and rotors, a new ignition lock cylinder, comprehensive fluid flush, new fuel pump relay, and alignment. Additionally, this SL benefits from a recently rebuilt transmission, rebuilt gauge cluster, and new tires. This R107 is now being offered by the seller with the factory tool kit, spare tire, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.
The exterior is finished in Light Ivory (623) with extended front and rear North American bumpers and sealed beam headlamps. The car was refinished from the original Champagne Metallic paint circa 2010 under previous ownership. No major blemishes are noted on the body and photos of individual body panels are included in the gallery.
Factory 14″ Bundt wheels wear a silver finish and are mounted with new 205/70 Landsail LS388 tires. The factory tool roll is included in the trunk along with a full size spare located under the trunk floor. New brake pads and rotors were recently installed.
The cabin is trimmed in Palomino Leather (254) with color-matched door inserts and carpets. Zebrano wood veneers accent the dashboard and center console. Equipment includes automatic climate control, an aftermarket head unit, electrically adjustable side mirror, and power-operated windows. The seller notes new seat covers and new floor mats were recently installed.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer as well as a clock and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 90k miles (TMU), approximately 2k of which were added by the seller in their ownership.
The 3.8L M116 V8 was rated at 155 horsepower when new, and power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. Recent services include new brake pads and rotors, a new ignition lock cylinder, comprehensive fluid flush, new fuel pump relay, and alignment.
The included Carfax report shows a clean history and some service history. This R107 is now being offered by the seller with the factory tool kit, spare tire, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title in the seller’s name.

I have been looking for this model car for a long time and have not found one as nice and as pristine as this one. It’s a beautiful vehicle and it sounds like it purrs in the video. I love the color. It seems to make the interior pop. Great combo. This is one sassy looking vehicle? Hope to be driving it soon.

New photos just added showing undercarriage during transmission rebuild.
On a lift, the original color can be seen on the underbody but a first class, thorough paint job. I’ve polished and waxed it since we got it. It’s a very nice finish.
I believe you said it was repainted and had a color change. Is there any visible evidence of the original color?
