This 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300TE was initially ordered for the German market before being exported to Japan where it remained until 2023 when the seller imported it to the United States. Finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199) over Black Cloth (061), power is provided by a 3.0-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Equipment includes a power sliding sunroof, heated front seats, power front windows, a power sunroof, air conditioning, Zebrano veneer, and an updated Becker head unit. Additionally, this wagon wears a Gen 1 AMG body kit featuring AMG stamps and 17” AMG Aero II Monoblock wheels. As a Japan export, a Carfax report isn’t available. The seller notes records for the car were misplaced prior to their ownership. This 300TE is now offered by the current owner and seller with factory literature, a factory tool kit, spare parts, and a clean Colorado title. 

The body is finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199) with matching lower body cladding and an authentic first generation AMG bodykit. Exterior features include a power sliding sunroof, heat-insulating glass with a heated rear window, an automatic antenna and a power passenger-side mirror. The paint is noted to be original with blemishes noted across the nose of the car along with a couple small cracks in the front bumper. Detailed photos of the exterior are included in the gallery. 

17” AMG Aero II Monoblock wheels are mounted and finished in matching Black Pearl Metallic (199) and measure 17x7.5 at all corners. The wheels wear Hankook tires up front and Salient tires in the rear. The tires measure 235/45. A full size spare and original tool kit are located under the rear load space. 

The cabin is trimmed in Black Cloth (061) with a black dashboard, black wool floor mats and Zebrano wood trim lining the center console, dashboard and door panels. The veneer does show some cracking. Both front seats are heated with manual adjustments. Interior appointments include air conditioning, an upgraded Becker head unit, power front windows, a deployable cargo net, and a power sunroof. 

The four-spoke steering wheel fronts analog instrumentation including a 240-km/h speedometer, an 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, economy, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer currently shows 152k km (~94k miles). The oil and ABS lights do turn on and back off while driving intermittently. 

This 300TE is powered by a 3.0-liter M103 inline-six which is rated for 158 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The seller notes current needs include a leaking power steering pump that will require replacement, the self leveling is in need of a service, and the washer fluid reservoir leaks. Additionally the rear muffler will need to be installed. It is included in the sale and photographed in the gallery. The air conditioning is noted to still run on R12.
