This 1992 Mercedes-Benz 320E was built in late 1992 for the Japanese market where it remained until 2017 when it was imported to the United States. Reportedly this example showed only one owner in Japan until it was exported. Finished in Midnight Blue (904) over Blue Cloth (062), power is provided by a 3.2-liter M104 inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Equipment includes a power sliding sunroof, power front seats, airconditioning, and an OEM Becker head unit. The included Carfax report shows registration history from 2018. This 320E is now offered for sale by the current owner in Portola Valley, CA with a clean Carfax report and a clean Florida title.
The body is finished in Midnight Blue (904) with contrasting lower body cladding and painted bumpers front and rear. Exterior features include a power sliding sunroof, heat-insulating glass with a heated rear window, headlamp wiper/washers, an automatic antenna and a power passenger-side mirror. The paint is believed to be original and shows well. Imperfections include a scuff at the left rear corner.
15” 8-hole wheels wear Yokohama tires measuring 205/50. The wheels show well with little to no wear and include OEM centercaps. A spare wheel and tire are included in the trunk along with a tool kit.
The cabin is trimmed in Blue Cloth (062) with a blue dashboard, Yanase-branded floor mats and Burl wood trim lining the center console, dashboard and door panels. Both front seats are power operated. Interior appointments include air conditioning, and a Becker head unit. The cabin shows well with little wear noted.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts analog instrumentation including a 260-km/h speedometer, an 7k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, economy, coolant temperature and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer currently shows 31k km (20k miles) miles from new.
This W124 sedan is powered by a 3.2-liter M104 inline-six which is rated for 217 horsepower and 229 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. The owner reports the car has received regular oil and filter changes.
