This 1994 Mercedes-Benz E60 AMG began life as an E500 destined for the Japanese market. It was immediately taken in by AMG Japan and converted to an E60 AMG with a 6.0-liter M119 V8 paired to a 4-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Black Leather (271), additional features include O.Z. AMG Aero III wheels, extended Burl veneer, heated seats, a Nakamichi 100td head unit, two Sony 10-disc CD changers, and a period KKM speaker system. The seller notes records since new have been kept with the car showing service and maintenance history. In 2021 the seller gave the E60 a mechanical overhaul totaling nearly £17k. This E60 AMG currently shows 207k kilometers (~128k miles) and is offered in Brighton, U.K. with records, two keys, literature, and a clean title.
The body is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and shows the original E500 flared fenders, paint-matched bumpers and lower cladding. Exterior features include clear corner lights, amber fender markers, headlamp washers and wipers, lower fog lamps, and a single-piece AMG badge on the deck lid. Above the fender markers is a KKM decal. The paint is noted to be original and the body rust-free. Detailed photos of the body are included in the gallery.
O.Z. AMG Aero III wheels measure 17x8.5 up front and 17x9 in the rear. Tires mounted are Bridgestone Potenzas measuring 235/45 and 265/40 respectively and show 2015 and 2016 date codes. The wheels show minor imperfections in the lip finish and no lug cracks are noted or visible.
The interior is trimmed in Black Leather (271) with matching door panels, armrest, dashboard, and center console. Extended Burl veneer is shown on the center console, dashboard, doors, and the AMG steering wheel. The ashtray displays the AMG insignia in the veneer. The heated front seats are electrically adjustable with memory settings, and the rear seats are divided by a Burl veneer storage space. Additionally, the cabin features a period KKM speaker system controlled by a Nakamichi 100td head unit. The components are tucked under carpet throughout the car and behind an upholstered cover in the trunk. Two Sony 10-disc CD changers are mounted in the trunk. The exterior bolster on the driver seat shows some creasing and wear.
The leather and wood-trimmed AMG steering wheel frames a 300-km/h AMG-branded speedometer, a tachometer, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature and fuel level. The odometer indicates 207k kilometers (~128k miles).
The AMG 6.0-liter M119 V8 sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Power is estimated to be 376 horsepower and 428 lb-ft of torque. The original AMG exhaust is shown on the car with stamped square tips. The seller notes records since new have been kept with the car showing service and maintenance history. It would have been an epic win if reserve was met. Alas, it was not. This car had been for sale at £130k ($170k USD) earlier this year.epic win$102,500 bid placed by @keepitsimpl

There are a decent number of tyre choices for 275/40 and 245/45 here in the colonies. Not sure what availability is like on the other side of the pond: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?zip-code=12345&frontWidth=245/&frontRatio=45&frontDiameter=17&rearWidth=275/&rearRatio=40&rearDiameter=17&performance=ALL Only one option showing for 265 though. I'd prefer 245/275 on wheels 8.5/10.0 anyway, but that's just me. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?zip-code=12345&frontWidth=245/&frontRatio=45&frontDiameter=17&rearWidth=265/&rearRatio=40&rearDiameter=17&performance=ALL$50,000 bid placed by @PerkinsClassic

@Herbogile What you say here is the opposite of what you said in your original comment, but helpful nonetheless! I have been trying to buy wintertyres for my C36 AMGs and getting the same brand on the front and back is proving impossible in the UK, I wonder what will happen over the next 5 - 10 years when electric cars represent a larger percentage of cars on the road, not a happy prospect. PeterAnyway, there are other equivalent tires that can be very similar to those; it's not that the car won't have tires, but several very similar ones can be used.@Herbogile according to my tyre supplier, Michelin, Hankook and Kleber can make these to special order, I am waiting to find out how long the wait is and the cost of the tyres, once I have an answer to this perhaps we should band together and buy a small batch of these tyres? Peterbeautiful@PeterQvortrup Well, tell me what brand those tires are because I've been trying for months and I've spoken to countless tire dealers and they all say they don't make them anymore and it's not possible.@MezgerDude Thanks, I can do ship to the US. Peter@Herbogile Thanks Herb, I have spoken to my tyre supplier and assure me the tyres will be available to order, so I intend to order 4 and include 2 in the sale as I also have another car with this size. PeterIs the seller willing to help ship to the USA?Excuse me, but you only have to go to the Michelin website to realize they're no longer manufactured. I have a very similar Mercedes, and I've been looking for tires like that for months, and it's impossible. They haven't made those tires for over 10 years. You'd have to check what year the tires that came with the car are from, and they'll be more than 10 years old. Mine was sold to me with 2004 tires, and they were all cracked, so those must be similar.@Herbogile @takeflight you’re both right. I found out the hard way and only after buying my set that it would be quite difficult to find 275/40 R17 + 245/45 R17 tyres locally where I live. From what I gathered this is because they aren’t manufactured as frequently as regular modern sized tyres so mine were new but the tyre stamps showed a production date that was about 18-24months old. I also had to place an international order for mine so the shipping cost me nearly as much as the tyres themselves. Some people end up converting theirs to 18s because that makes it easier and cheaper.@Herbogile Not sure where you're checking but there's a few manufactures making that size including Michelin. I recently got a set for my R129 with these same wheel specs. What they don't mention is that the 265/40/17 rear tires are no longer manufactured and it's impossible to fit others... it's a big problem$43,500 bid placed by @BilalAbba
@Tom69 Hi Tom, and everyone! Photographer here. In the original batch you'll find a photo of the AMG stamp (rear of engine block) - and we have just added additional photos of the EZL and LH modules. My understanding is that the former is often not overtly AMG-labelled, but I'm sure some resident experts can elaborate. We've also added a few more underbody photos, and a walk around video for your collective delectation.Additional underside photos have been uploaded along with two videos showing a walk around and driving functions.$43,000 bid placed by @PerkinsClassic

Six additional photos have been added to the gallery.Hello, Are there any pictures of the engine number or any subsequent AMG markings on the engine? Also, a few pictures of the control units that are also specially labeled by AMG. Thank you Tom$41,000 bid placed by @AMGhunter
