@Herbogile@takeflight you’re both right. I found out the hard way and only after buying my set that it would be quite difficult to find 275/40 R17 + 245/45 R17 tyres locally where I live. From what I gathered this is because they aren’t manufactured as frequently as regular modern sized tyres so mine were new but the tyre stamps showed a production date that was about 18-24months old. I also had to place an international order for mine so the shipping cost me nearly as much as the tyres themselves. Some people end up converting theirs to 18s because that makes it easier and cheaper.
I thought these are meant to be extremely rare but it seems like every 3-4 weeks there is a set of these available for sale on here from Thailand…Can anyone explain why there are so many Aero 3s being sold on here from Thailand?
Why is it that the stamps on the rear side differ from some of the previous wheels that sold here? Some wheels say Forged OZ racing while others just say OZ racing? Some say AMG w Germany and others just say AMG Germany? The location of the stamps differs as well? Were the wheel stamps inconsistent or are they different types of Staggered 3-piece 17" AMG Aero III Wheels by O.Z. Racing? Appreciate if anyone could help clarify or help me better understand
