This 2001 Mercedes-Benz CLK430 Cabriolet was originally sold new in California and relocated to Florida in 2005. It later relocated to Illinois with the most recent owner in 2015 where it's remained ever since with only 59k miles. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over Designo Two-tone Grey Leather (218), power is provided by a 4.3-liter V8 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Recent service in April 2024 included new drive belts, new serpentine belt, drive belt tensioner, and an oil service. Equipment includes the AMG Sport Package, a power-operated soft top, heated and power adjustable front seats, a 6-speaker Bose audio system, a COMAND multifunction display, and Xenon headlamps. This CLK430 Cabriolet is now offered for sale by the selling dealer in Illinois with original manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title.
The exterior is finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) and features an AMG-sculpted front air dam, side skirts and rear apron. The rear features an added trunk spoiler and factory chrome exhaust outlet. The black soft top is power operated and includes a heated rear glass pane. The exterior is currently in good condition with no accidents or damage showing on the Carfax report.
Staggered 17” AMG monoblock wheels wear Champiro UHP GT Radial tires measuring 225/45 front and 245/40 rear. The wheels are in good condition showing only minor signs of curb rash with OEM center caps.
The cabin is upholstered in Designo Two-tone Grey Leather (218) and Burl wood trim along the dashboard, center console, and doors. The seller notes some cracking in the wood veneer around the power seat switches on the doors. The front seats are heated and the rear seats feature headrests which can be raised and lowered. Additional interior features include dual-zone climate control, a 6-speaker Bose sound system, and COMAND multifunction display.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer along with a 7k-rpm tachometer, fuel level, coolant temperature, digital clock and digital outside temperature indicator. The digital odometer reads 59k miles and all pixels on the cluster are reported to be in fully functioning order.
This CLK is powered by a 4.3-liter V8 which is factory rated at 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Recent service in April 2024 included new drive belts, new serpentine belt, drive belt tensioner, and an oil service.
The Carfax report shows linear mileage reports along with no damage or accidents reports since new. This CLK430 Cabriolet is now offered with the original manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title.

Thank you all for bidding on our CLK430. It is a very nice clean Convertible for its year and very low miles. This is a $11K retail Benz anywhere for sale.

@Manskraft we got the vehicle the way it is. Not sure if it has been refinished or replaced by previous owner.

Question, why is the wood trim on the "hidden" cup holder different than the remainder of the interior? Replacement? Can you confirm if the over engineered cup holder still functions properly? Thx

@hselcuk VIN decode does mention the 772 AMG Styling package. https://www.lastvin.com/vin/1735zAJG63XdmyMQv
@hselcuk this was most likely a special order in 2001 with the AMG appearance package. It is a true AMG package CLK.
@BuyItnowMB I have responded to your private message earlier, No noticed issues with motor mounts, no vibration, no bad pixels on dash (there is a clear picture of the cluster with all pixels in tact), top works as it should ( pictures are both with the top up and down) thank you!
vin code does not mention AMG. How can we check if the AMG package of the vehicle is original? You mentioned "Equipment includes the AMG Sport Package"
I have messaged the seller re: the condition of the top hydraulics, engine mounts and dash display pixels. Stay tuned for the reply.

I think this is the first time I've seen perforated leather on a 208, same perforation you get on the 210 E55's. Likely exceptionally rare and always love seeing early designo. GLWTA!
Beautiful ride! My black 2002 430 with the AMG styling, it doesn't hold a candle to this. The two tone seats and rear spoiler are a great look. Was never a soft top sort, and was looking at parting with mine. Frankly I've grown fond of the power and handling these provide. As mentioned, the M113 / 722.6 pairing makes it easy to work on. Limited electroncs are a plus as well. Only drawback is the limited room in the rear seats. Kids maybe, full size adults will need the seats moved quite a bit forward. Not bidding here, but curious to see what the market will say on this one. Either way, someone will be very happy.
