With the Sport kit option on a base E320 costing an additional $4,000 when new ($7,000 today) these early M112 powered W211s with this kit are actually pretty rare to see today. With Airmatic and Xenon headlights, larger wheels with a wider width, and pretty interior appointments of leather, dark burl walnut, and contrasting white AMG style gauges make these cars capable and incredibly comfortable daily drivers on a budget. The Airmatic suspension on a W211 makes them S-Class quiet at highway speeds and they have an air of solidity when it comes to road holding manners compared to their static counterparts. This was a highly optioned E320 when new and this particular car was knocking on a base E500 MSRP when new. The M112 V6 is as reliable as a rooster at dawn and is economical puttering around town or ripping across states on a road trip.
