This 2006 Mercedes-Benz S430 Sport first shows registration in California where it remained with the original owner until 2022 when the car relocated to New York with the current selling dealer and collector. Finished in Cubanite Silver Metallic (723) over Alpaca Grey Leather (278), power comes from a 4.3-liter M113 V8 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. Equipment includes Bi-Xenon Headlamps, power adjustable heated front seats, Airmatic suspension, a power rear sunshade, COMAND with Navigation, and an AMG Sport Package. Recent maintenance in preparation for the sale included and oil and filter service, new oil breathers, and new tires. This final-year model W220 is now offered by the selling dealer with manufacturer's literature, two original keys, a complete tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The exterior is finished in Cubanite Silver Metallic (723) and features the AMG Sport Package consisting of sculpted front and rear bumpers and side skirts. Notable exterior features include Bi-xenon headlamps with a heated washer system, glass sunroof, power folding side mirrors with integrated LED signals, and lightly tinted glass. All metal body panels wear original paint and the seller had the lower portion of the rear bumper blended upon acquisition.
The factory AMG alloy wheels are finished in chrome and are wrapped in new Hankook Ventus S1 tires measuring 245/45 up front and 265/40 rear with 2023 date codes. The tires were installed after the photos were taken last month and separate photos showing the new tires are provided. The wheels appear to be in good condition with no visible curb rash or scratches in the finish.
The interior is upholstered in Alpaca Grey Leather (278) with matching door cards and carpets. Walnut trim accents the center console, shift knob, doors, dashboard and steering wheel. The front seats are Multi-Contour with heat, 14-way power adjustment, and pneumatically-adjustable lumbar support. The center console highlights the 6.5” COMAND navigation system as well as controls for the dual-zone automatic climate control system. The dashboard also features controls for the rear sunshade, airmatic suspension modes and electronic stability programming. One touch controls mounted above the driver allow for adjustment of the power tilt and slide glass sunroof.
Only 18k original miles are shown on the digital odometer. The cluster features a 160mph speedometer with a floating needle as well as a tachometer, fuel gauge and coolant temperature gauge. A digital display is featured on each side displaying the outdoor temperature and a clock.
The car is powered by a 4.3-liter M113 V8 and is factory rated for 275 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic transmission. Recent maintenance in preparation for the sale included and oil and filter service, new oil breathers, and new tires. The Carfax reports additional service history through 2021 performed at Mercedes-Benz of Encino. Detailed underbody photos are provided in the gallery and show the car to be in excellent condition.
The Carfax report lists no accidents or damage along with linear mileage updates since new. This example is now offered in Cold Spring Harbor, New York with manufacturer's literature, two original keys, a complete tool kit, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

What an amazing 430! Hope the seller and high bidder are able to work it out.
@Gene3405 my pleasure
@eurosellinc Good morning - heard from MBM and told them we were thinking it over today. Thanks for being a thorough seller.
@Gene3405 I have not heard back from MBmkt. they said they were going to contact you and possiby try to put a deal together, however, I cannot get a response. Please let me know if you are interested in coming to an agreement so that I can make arrangements on my end. Thank you!
@jimseeger the airmatic is functioning perfectly and will last for many years. This car was in a dry climate and only has 17k miles. To needlessly replace it at this stage would be a tremendous waste of money, although I do appreciate your opinion.
@jradcliffe not sure why you felt the need to make a comment like that but there is no overspray on the wheels and this is an 8 cylinder car. In the future, please try to be mindful that your comments could have an impact on someone's sale and perhaps it is best not to say anything if you don't have the knowledge base
I would have bid, but the overspray on the wheels and undercarriage made us wonder what else may not be as it seems. And as someone else pointed out, the shipping cost and buyer's fee pushed it into an unreasonable level. So it appears the seller wants more? It takes just one, but a reasonable person would pass - especially for a 6 cylincer (430).
I did not bid on what appears to be an excellent example. My reason? I saw no record (or comment) that the Air Matic system had been addressed / and perhaps because there was no need. Due to its age, however, the air bag/strut system has to be near its time for replacement, and the high cost of that scared me away, especially at $17k and for me + another near 2k for shipping + buyer’s fee. Too much.
For a non V8 S500 with a few sticky buttons, 17K is probably all there is. A same year s600 with 100K miles just sold for 8K.

@dean_Laumbach thank you so much for the kind words, yes we called in the chief for this car. Someone is going to get a stunning car!
Good morning. I stumbled across this listing, and I had to leave a comment. I owned a W220 S430 a few years ago. I originally purchased it as a "in between" car as my wife's car was up on a lease. My plan was to keep it for a month while I located another SUV for my wife, and when I did, I could not bring myself to sell it. I wound up keeping the car for 3.5 years and used it primarily for long road trips with the family. Absolutely no better car for that purpose as the power, comfort, reliability and safety is second to none. When I saw this listing I thought to myself, who in the world detailed this car to such perfection !!! I looked at the vehicle's location and quickly made a phone call. My assumption was correct as this car was detailed by a good friend of mine in Long Island NY. I have been professionally detailing cars since the 1990s, and I can recognize a real high level detailing from a "decent" detailing. This car was literally detailed by the best bar none. What a magnificent example !!! The undercarriage, interior, engine bay, and paint looks like its ready to be concours judged at Pebble Beach. This is a great car, and a lot of car for the money in today's luxury car market. Best of luck !!! Dean

@AmpeliaAMG I love this car, great combo and probably the nicest w220 on the market. I was just curious if it was a bad picture or if it was a part that is made from a different material. Either way, it wouldn't affect purchasing this timeless beauty!
@Robertlnm Thank you for seconding my thought. That being said, the part can be replaced and should not negatively impact the bidding for this vehicle in any meaningful way. The mechanic who who works on my 09 SL63 AMG drives a similar year black S430 and has commented to me on how much he likes his vehicle. I value his opinions.
@AmpeliaAMG that caught my eye as well. It certainly doesn't match the pristine look of the car. It would bug me to no end it that was discolored and scratch as it looks in the pic

Thank you everyone who has looked at and bid on this magnificent W-2 20 so far. Please bear with me, there was a miscommunication with MB Market and I was not aware this was going live today. I am out of town until Wednesday so I will not be able to fulfill any showings or additional content until I return on Wednesday. Thank you and I will do my best to check the comments as I have limited Internet until I return return
@Kulegos76 just sent some videos over. I will try to get additional content but I am out of town until Wednesday.
@markholthoff thanks for the kind words and good catch on the transmission. Yes it’s the 7-speed
@AmpeliaAMG that is a common defect on w220 cars. The material gets sticky from being exposed to heat.
I will love to see some video's ; cold start etc and gauges wille the car is running
Any idea of the cause of the discoleration of the dash around the light switch in photo 159? Was this part replaced?

Nice car! Also, FYI, a minor correction: As an '06 RWD model, this example has the newer 7-speed automatic, not the 5-speed that's mentioned in the description.
