This 2008 Mercedes-Benz CL63 AMG was delivered new at Mercedes-Benz Rockville, NY and shows New York registration since new under 5 total owners. The seller acquired the car in 2021 and has added approximately 1000 miles with the odometer showing 90k miles in total. The car is finished in Black (040) over Anthracite Leather (801) and is powered by a 6.2-liter DOHC V8 mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. Features include Bi-Xenon headlights with cornering lights, Keyless-GO, power-adjustable heated and ventilated dynamic front seats with memory, a rear-view camera, Night View Assist, COMAND with navigation, an electric rear roller blind, and a Harman-Kardon Logic7 sound system. Recent services in the last 1,000 miles include updated head bolts, new engine and transmission mounts, a complete fluid flush, an ABC service, new plugs, new air filters, and 4 new tires. This C216 is now offered by the seller with two keys, manufacturer’s books & literature, records for recent service, a Carfax report, and a clean New York title.
The exterior is finished in Black (040) and features a pillarless coupe design. Factory body work includes sculpted AMG-specific bumper covers, side skirts, and a rear diffuser with quad exhaust outlets. Additional features consist of Bi-Xenon headlights with cornering illumination, fog lights, and an electric sunroof. All aluminum body panels are original with no signs of previous paint work and only the front and rear bumper noted to have been painted previously due to rock chips and light wear. The Carfax report shows light damage reported in 2019 with no details given.
Staggered five-spoke AMG 20″ wheels were recently refinished and are mounted with Falken tires measuring 255/35 up front and 275/35 out back. The tires reportedly have less than 1k miles on them since installation. The car is equipped with Active Body Control suspension and black-finished AMG calipers. The ABC system was recently serviced and the brake fluid flushed.
The cabin is upholstered in Anthracite Leather (801) with a designo anthracite Alcantara headliner, black carpets, and Burl Wood veneers on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. The stitched leather and rich burl wood are accented with brushed metal and polished chrome buttons laid out aesthetically across the cabin. Additional features include power-adjustable heated and ventilated dynamic front seats with memory, automatic climate control, Night View Assist, COMAND with navigation, a Harman-Kardon Logic7 sound system, an electric rear roller blind, and Keyless-GO. In 2017 the amplifier was replaced under warranty. Additional recent replacements include new cargo nets in the trunk, new AMG velour floor mats, and a new keyless door handle. The seller notes the dynamic seats work intermittently and likely need a new control unit.
The multi-function steering wheel frames digital instrumentation including a 200-mph speedometer, an AMG-branded 8k-rpm tachometer, and additional gauges displaying fuel level and coolant temperature. The digital odometer displays just over 90k miles, along with digital readouts for various assistance programs, outside temperature reading, and infotainment menus.
The naturally aspirated 6.2-liter M156 V8 was factory rated at 518 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. The engine features an aluminum block and head, along with port fuel injection. Recent services in the last 1000 miles include updated head bolts, new engine and transmission mounts, a complete fluid flush, an ABC service, new plugs, new air filters, and 4 new tires.
The Carfax report shows a total of 61 service records and shows linear mileage updates since new. This CL63 AMG is now offered by the seller with two keys, manufacturer’s books & literature, records for recent service, a Carfax report, and a clean New York title.

@Boatymcboatface I agree the 156 is the nicest sounding engine they ever made, the tone of the exhaust in the CL is absolutely amazing. I personally prefer this engine over the 157 due to the amount of issues with Cyl head issues, turbos, turbo cooler lines, cam pulse wheel moving and cam gears going bad, oil in the engine harness, and the fact that the engine has to come out for a lot of the repairs. The M156 is a much simpler engine that will last the test of time

Additional photos of the engine and underside have been uploaded along with videos showing a walk around, underside, and an idling video.
@Chrispcar I just took the car to my shop and took a lot of underside Pics/Videos, Hopefully they update the listing soon. I changed the oil and reset the service light while I had it there, I wish it was dry out because the car was still a little wet due to the rain here today but this was my only chance to get the pics up before the auction ends, as far as the cam gears I was thinking about rebuilding them while I had them out but since there were no issues with them and I was having trouble getting the plates I decided to leave them alone, this car was adult owned and really doesn’t seem like it was abused for most of its life so they should have more time on them. I seem to see them fail a lot more on the C/E that were abused. I have worked for MB for 20 years so for me to address them later if they ever failed is not a big deal to me, I was planning on keeping this car for the next decade but sometimes life changes.

Beautiful car, could you please share pics of the undercarriage. Did you replace the camshaft adjusters or rebuild them at some point? Do you have any hot start and cold start videos?
