This 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series was delivered new to Mercedes-Benz of Manhattan before moving to Greenwich, CT in 2022. The car is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 producing 720 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque that is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle. The car is finished in Obsidian Black Metallic (197) over a Black Exclusive Leather (671) and Dinamica interior with orange stitching and silver (Y04) seat belts. Black Series examples of the AMG GT utilize carbon-fiber components to reduce weight and feature widened aerodynamic bodywork and upgraded internal engine components. Additional equipment includes a limited-slip differential, staggered-diameter forged alloy wheels, ceramic-composite brakes, adaptive sport suspension, a carbon-fiber adjustable double rear wing, AMG performance seats, AMG performance steering wheel, front and rear cameras, LED exterior lighting, the Lane Tracking Package, and a Burmester High-End sound system. This AMG GT Black Series now has just under 2k miles and is offered by Mercedes-Benz of Greenwich as a Certified Pre-Owned example with factory warranty, the original window sticker, car cover, battery maintainer, an owner’s manual, additional manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Connecticut title.
The car is finished in Obsidian Black Metallic (197) and features widened bodywork specific to the Black Series, including a revised front fascia with enlarged intercooler openings, vented front fenders, and a manually-adjustable double rear wing with an electronically controlled center section. Additional equipment includes a carbon-fiber hood, roof panel, and rear decklid as well as side-skirt extensions, front canards, power-folding mirrors, front and rear parking sensors and cameras, a rear diffuser, and quad exhaust outlets. The windows are tinted and protective film and ceramic coating are said to have been applied to the car’s bodywork.
Forged 19″ and 20″ wheels are finished in black with silver outer edges and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires that measure 285/35 up front and 335/30 out back. The car features adaptive coilover suspension with driver-selectable modes, and Black Series equipment includes a carbon-fiber front anti-roll bar and carbon-fiber chassis bracing. Braking is handled by multi-piston monoblock brake calipers clamping ceramic composite brake rotors with model-specific pads.
The heated and power-adjustable AMG Performance seats are trimmed in Black Exclusive Nappa leather (671) with Dinamica synthetic suede inserts and orange contrast stitching that extends to the dashboard, center console, and door panels, while AMG matte carbon-fiber trim accents the cabin. Additional features include illuminated AMG-branded door sill guards, Keyless-Go, a carbon-fiber rear crossbar, COMAND infotainment with navigation, blind-spot and lane-keeping assists, and Apple CarPlay with satellite radio integration linked to a Burmester High-End Surround Sound System.
The Dinamica-wrapped AMG Performance steering wheel is equipped with paddle shifters and frames a configurable 12.3″ digital instrument cluster. The digital odometer indicates just under 2k miles.
The twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 features an updated flat-plane crankshaft and was factory rated at 720 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. The engine redlines at 7,200 rpm and the twin turbochargers deliver up to 24.6 psi of boost.
The car is equipped with an AMG Performance exhaust system and power is sent to the rear wheels through a carbon fiber-composite driveshaft, a seven-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch automatic transaxle, and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential.
The window sticker lists features, options, and a total vehicle price of $336,315. An indoor car cover, battery maintainer, and manufacturer’s literature are also included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in New York and Connecticut since new.
Holy Horsepower, Batman! Yes, it’s the 2021 AMG GT Black Series. The car that recently set the world record for the fastest time around the Nürburgring Nordschleife by a production car. That’s the incredibly obvious headline on this amazingly rare, limited-production wide-track supercoupe. But there’s more than meets the eye here: Imagine being able to re-arrange the placement of your internal organs on demand - via your right foot - without worry on your fully-warrantied AMG GT Black series. The chance to do so is here, friends, and this unapologetic and insane AMG supercar is ready to be driven fret-free. But it won’t be cheap…or easy to replicate…so click fast!
