This 1985 Mercedes-Benz 300TD Turbo station wagon is finished in Light Ivory (623) over a Palomino (154) MB-Tex interior. Power is provided from a 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-five mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a sunroof, cruise control , air conditioning, and an upgraded aftermarket head unit. A service conducted in preparation for the sale included replacement of all new air, oil, and fuel filters, a valve adjustment, a replacement of the valve cover gasket as well as a new oil plan and oil pan gasket. This S123 wagon shows 232k miles and is offered with factory literature, partial service records, a recent Carfax report, and a clean Georgia title.
This 300TD is finished in Light Ivory (623) and features a manual sunroof, chrome roof rails, and a rear window wiper. The car has been previously repainted in its factory color and the Carfax indicates an accident to the passenger side in 1997. The car remained in the South for the majority of its life and is reportedly rust free with the exception of the vanity strip under the passenger headlamp.
14″ Bundt wheels have been refinished and are mounted with Fuzion Radial RB tires measuring 195/70 at each corner with 2014 date codes. The SLS is reportedly functional and appears leveled and even in the photos provided.
The interior is trimmed in Palomino MB-Tex (154) with Zebrano wood accents on the console and dash. Amenities include power windows, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a JVC aftermarket head unit. The seller reports that the air conditioning and cruise control functions are currently inoperable. The rear passenger window switch located in the center console is not currently functioning but the window is operable from the switch in the rear compartment.
The 3.0-liter OM617 turbodiesel inline-five produced 125 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque when new, and sent power to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Maintenance conducted in preparation for the sale included replacement of all new air, oil and fuel filters, a valve adjustment, a replacement of the valve cover gasket as well as a new oil plan and oil pan gasket.
The September 2021 Carfax report indicates one accident in 1997 and shows longterm Georgia registration as well two years in New York State. A walk-around video with the car idling as well as a driving video can be seen below.
The W/S123 Wagons have achieved a cult status that seems to truly transcend marques. Their incredibly stout build quality and legendary longevity are masked behind a friendly face that wins approving nods from nearly all perceptive passers-by. While many may chalk this adoration up to nostalgia - sourced of the mind’s eye from those of us who grew up riding in the back of these trusty tri-stars – the 300TDT wagon is more than just a party trick. These loveable long-haulers boast bank vault build quality, timeless styling and everyday economical usability with the OM617; provided you’re not in too much of a hurry, of course. These final-year examples are certainly the one to have and, with a bit of cosmetic attention, this is sure to be an appreciating (and appreciated) classic favorite to keep and use for years to come.

@squasher I do have one but seems it is from a later period, not OEM to W123 but a early 90's - let me take a picture and share it here
Do you still have the OEM Becker AM/FM cassette?

Hello All - Below is some more information that can help. It took me an extremely long time to find a 85 (last year - desired) rust free Wagon with documented miles. I got this car earlier last year, while COVID was at the peak, bad idea to venture out of the house, but I could not resist. Since my ownership, first thing I did was change the fluids and filters, then full detail and paint correction, followed by changing valve gasket, oil plan and oil pan gasket. I also have changed many other small things here and there as wanted to keep this as long as I could. I have used this car even to drop my girls to school and taken the family for picnics and weekend trips. Anyways, things changed, as I recently acquired a 85 Euro Wagon with a 5 speed transmission and hence this is for sale. While my 85 Euro has rust, been in an accident, has been repainted and all, I am keeping the Euro for now and hence the 85 US Turbo is for sale. Both the wagons participated at the Mercedes Automotive world record this past weekend, and not only were they the only W123's representing this community of world class cars. I am happy to answer any questions, speak over the phone and even if you want to do an independent inspection.

Speed is a relative thing...my '81 TDT feels like a slug after a drive in my 996 Porsche cab.....but it feels very fast after a couple hours in my '82 240D...:)

Hello. I live pretty close, can this be viewed in person? If so, how can I get ahold of seller?
@Baileystuff Hello it is and just glued in with easy removal. I initially was not a fan of it when my detailer added it on but have grown to like it now. Note, this was added on just 3 to 4 months ago and can be removed if needed.
Are the chrome eyebrows, over the wheel arches, aftermarket? How are they attached? Thanks,
