@1976w123 I think this car is still a long way from being close to a sell price. These early bids are breadcrumbs. @smcase22 is a force to be reckoned with. Stunning car. Wish I could afford something like this. Instead I’ll just drool over the presentation and take a cold shower afterwards.
Well put together auction and very thorough. The car looks like a blast to drive from the video. MB Golf R seems about right.
Hear me out: this would be an excellent candidate for three-piece AMG Aero IIIs and a Gen I body kit. The early M119.960 engine is as close as we get to a production pre-merge AMG powerplant and this car would benefit from that I reckon.
Good lord look at that.
I’m such a sucker for black impact strips on a white Sacco car.
I can’t find any comps with a blue leather interior that have sold before. What a weird find. Seems like Euro cars pretty much got blue interiors but a lot were cloth.
Dry ice will certainly blast all of that superficial corrosion off. I’m such a sucker for blue leather. Really cool car with the die cast to boot!
I love the OM648. So much better than the V6 diesel in the later cars.
Kudos @thembmarket for the appropriate response. Don't want to do business with people like that and certainly don't need them here.
Sad to see this isn't going to be a sale, I was anticipating an entertaining ending. Obviously these don't hit the market often.
I wonder what the reserve was -- $22k seems like really strong money for this. Love the interior.
I really like these early cars. The leather quality compared to the facelifts are superior. More W124-esque than anything.
