This RENNtech airbox was made to fit most M156 engines and deliver increased power output. The airbox is made from carbon fiber and features the RENNtech logo stamped at the top. The intake has not been installed and the kit includes high flow filters, MAF sensor retaining clips, RENNtech paperwork, and a RENNtech pen. The seller removed the intake from the original box in preparation for the sale and can assist with shipping within the continental United States.
RENNtech, when producing this airbox, claimed an additional 10 horsepower and 10 lb/ft of torque from stock. The included BMC high flow filters help with airflow and are direct fit replacements with the stock filters. Installation instructions are included with RENNtech branding.
Additionally, the set includes original RENNtech paperwork, MAF sensor retaining clips, and a RENNtech pen. Vehicles approved by RENNtech for fitment include a number of M156 powered examples including the following:
Is there a better modern pairing than a naturally aspirated AMG V8 and a RENNtech airbox? While the RENNtech proposition was never one based around value, it was founded upon exclusivity, performance, and style. Founded by Hartmut Feyhl who spent 12 years at AMG Germany before serving as the North American division’s Technical Director, RENNtech is today what premerger AMG was back in the 80s. As a name synonymous with an abundance of power, RENNtech repeatedly pioneered the best method for fine-tuning Mercedes engines and cars for the best performance. It’s great to know that parts like this can still be found unused as M156 cars become increasingly rare.

@Mookiijones Cash or Zelle transfer. @puremotors In the MBmarket description the first paragraph has the information listed. This Airbox is brand new, never installed, 0 miles. Everything is as it was when shipped by RENNtech. You can see the "parts list" signed in the RENNtech manual. It was taken out of the box to take pictures for this auction naturally. Please see pictures and listing description.
@Boatymcboatface A throttle body upgrade is not "needed" to use this but would it compliment well this air box upgrade? Of course yes but it is not "needed" per se. This air box would definitely help your 2009 E63 AMG Wagon breathe that's for sure! :)
learning to read descriptions 🥴
What form of payment will be accepted?
Would a throttle-body upgrade be needed for these to really work as they were designed? My 2009 E63 Wagon needs some more go-go.
@MercedesDad Thank you for that information. That seems pretty spot on. @puremotors Thank you very much. This air-box is a work of art. That carbon fiber looks beautiful. It should help that high revving 6.3 M156 AMG sing! :)

Beautiful and fully functional, like everything Renntech. A few thoughts come to mind: - These have been discontinued for 2-3 years; largely due to Covid shutdowns that put suppliers out of business. - Renntech made a one-off *GEN II* box in late 2022. They may (or may not) offer it to the general public later on. - This box may not fit a CLK63 Black Series. Buyers considering that application may want to check vertical clearances as factory strut bar runs right on top of the box. Ask me how I know. - Renntech tune, highly recommended to get the most out of this air box.
Hello everyone, Thank you for bidding and viewing this RENNtech M156 Airbox. @sf_car_guy It is my understanding that there is a short supply of carbon fiber and it maybe not be available or at the very least a very extensive wait time at minimum if you can order one. So I am not sure if it's discontinued but it is definitely very hard to get.

Has this part been discontinued by RENNTECH?
