My broker will handle all export documentation/process Thank you for your bids: @tyrantracing @ARPINE2011 @JoshM @EnjoyLife69 @Twitch23 @Ssein7 @PeterPiratePants @artursmakaj @nycexec212 @NinjaSingh Good luck everyone!!
Here we are everybody, the last hour of the auction on this unique w140 BAD ASS BENZ VIP Japan. Thank you for all your bids and inquiries. I'm still catching up on private messages, I did my best to not miss anyone. If you haven't heard from me please send me a nudge and I will get back to you. I'll be watching and answering all your questions until 15min before the auction ends. The all U.S. buyers, you have my full support during export process. We do this weekly, I will make it as smooth as possible for you. Just to reiterate, if the car meets reserve I will pay the tarrif on the car for export (12.5%) for the new owner. Bid with confidence :) Good luck everybody!!
@refusednameYes, its pretty loud. As you can see in the photos the exhaust is straigh-piped past the resonators with Wald tips. It sound a better in person than in the videos. The warning light is for light bulb malfunction, I believe its because the front corner market lights were converted to LED's and the MB system sends an error message. I should also note that when you turn the steering wheel all the way left or right the SRS airbag light flickers at times. At the end of the day its a 33yr old car with modifications. Its not perfect but I'm sure the new owner will add their finishing touches to their taste and liking. I personally would add air-ride suspension to make it easier to cruise and park on our roads.
@refusednamevideos are being uploaded. Thanks for your patience.
We are less than 24hrs away from the auction ending. Thank you for your all your bids and inquiries. Please send me any questions you have via private message or provide a phone number and I will get back to you asap. I just uploaded ~50 photos of the inspection to the gallery above. Please see my comment from yesterday with 11 points outlining/explaining what we found. Videos are being uploaded as we speak! Hang tight everybody.
@Ghuman23 Hi, please send me a private message and we can get on a call.
@tyrantracingI just sent you my number again but I will contact your broker shortly. Thanks
@refusednamevideos were shot today and will be uploaded soon.
@refusednameI went over the car with my mechanic yesterday. MB Market will upload the photos today. Here is what we found: 1. Wiring harness looks new/in-tact and has been replaced with OEM part. 2. Head gasket is ok. The car does not overheat and no oil/coolant mixing sings found 3. Mass airflow sensor has been replaced with an OEM Bosch part No. 0 986 280 125 4. Brake pads are 90%+ front and back (almost new) 5. Brake rotors are real Brembo 3-piece units with the correct Brembo caliper adapters 6. Water pump/Serpentine belt looks new/recent 7. Spark plug wires look new/recent 8. Spark plugs look good 9. No rust/corrosion found underneath, brakelines and suspension parts, brakets etc. 10. Oil seeping from upper timing chain cover Number 10 is the only area of concern we could find. Its not leaking or dripping heavily, the engine oil level was still showing full. Regardless, the car is booked in at the shop to have this repaired and adressed asap. Hope this helps. Stay tuned for the photos!
@tyrantracingI just responded to your private message about this. I shared my phone number, have your broker call me. Thanks
Thank you everone for your comments, private messages and bids! I'm doing my best to to get back to everyone as fast as I can. If you haven't heard back, hang tight I'm on a flight back to Vancouver as we speak. I will respond as soon as possible. Your patience is appreciated.
@refusednameI appreciate the questions and enthusiasm. I did fluids and an inspection when the car landed in Canada in 2025 by my trusted MB mechanic of over 20yrs. But, I think it would be best to get a fresh report. I have arranged to have the car taken over to my mechanic this afternoon and have an inspection done, especially to check the headgasket and harness. That will help shed some light and clear any doubts. I will share that info on here asap. Thank you
@refusedname- thank you for comment and questions. 1. It didn't come with any service records. 2. I will shoot a driving video in the next day or so. 3. I will also shoot a video showing power options/details/functions 4. The only thing that needs attention right now would be the rear driver side power window. Its sticky, it goes up and down intermittently. I think its because that particular window is the least used. It could be from the buttons, that's a common issue with these. 5. A/C works and blow cold. Heater works as well. 6. No issues with the suspension. It is very low but still drives smooth. You just have to be careful with speedbumps or pot holes on the road as expected. 7. I am not sure if the headgasket has been done. It does not overheat and there are no signs of oil/water mixing. 8. Again, I don't know if the harness has been replaced. Upon visual inspection the wiring looks in tact and doesn't look like anything is eroding/cracking. Feel free to DM me if you'd like to get on a call to discuss. Videos coming soon!
@ArmyGuy63 That sounds like like a great plan, but I'd hate to see the stone chips after 24HR roadtrip. This is a showcar brother. But hey if you win the bid, the world is yours. Good luck man!
@ColetrainYes of course, I wouldn't recommend shipping by train to the east coast. Enclosed trailer would be best and that's no problem. We have a few preferred partners who ship within Canada weekly. Good luck bidding, maybe this beast will stay local :)
@Avd89 Thank you, glad you dig the build :) Yes, see my previous comment, the buyer has full support from my end to import and cross border etc.
@GivanichThe tarrif is 10% and duties are 2.5% , for a total of 12.5% of sold price when you import the car into the U.S. If the auction meets reserve, we will cover the taxes for the buyer. Send me a private message if you'd like to discuss in more detail.
Welcome to all MB Market members! Thanks for checking out our auction for this one of a kind Benz. A few key points I'd like to mention to all interested parties: As mentioned in the write-up, we will cover the tarrif cost for export to the USA for the winning bidder. Message private to discuss, happy to jump on call as well. Winning bidder will have 100% support for export to the United States. We have our customs broker on call who can answer any questions/concerns. We can also help with shipping quotes to get the car safely to your doorstep. We will make sure the import process is smooth.. If you have any questions, please send me a mesage via the "Message Seller" button and I'll respond as soon as possible. You are looking at a one of a kind Japan VIP build here. The amount of time and money that went into this build is really impressive. You wont find another one like it at any car meet, cars and coffee or Instagram for that matter. All the right details and a color, presence and stance that is breathtaking in person. Good luck to all the bidders, you have my full support. FABRIK
@wspeedCongrats on the winning bid. Thanks for sharing that memory. Now you can make more and enjoy it for many years to come. I'll be in touch. Thanks everyone for your interest and bids. Cheers
Good luck everyone, here we go!
Thanks to all the bidders and interested parties. If you require more detailed pictures of interior, dash and trunk, cold start video please send me a PM with your email and I will send them over to you asap. Thanks and good luck!
Just letting all interested parties know that I this car has not been cut polished, paint corrected or ceramic coated. This is the original condition of the paint. Also, as you can see from the undercarriage pictures it was not dry ice blasted and in fact I didn't even detail or interior shampoo the car. There is no armour-all type agents or any kind of product used on the interior or leather, no air fresheners used ever since new. It still has the original Mercedes Benz leather smell from new. In other words, no lipstick. That's how clean it is as is. However, you can imagine what it would look like after a ceramic coat and blasting of the underneath, it's the perfect candidate for it but that would be up to the winning bidder. Thanks again for all the interest everyone, happy bidding!
@roup1please send me a private message and I will provide detailed pics of the instrument cluster and more info regarding the history etc. Thank you.
Also, for all European buyers who have reached out and interested parties. I also have a European broker and shipping company on call who will handle the export/import process. As mentioned, I'm happy to connect you with them and assist. Please send me a PM for more info. Thanks.
Thanks to everyone who's reached out, I appreciate the interest and support in the comments. I’ve had a fair amount of emails regarding export help/process to the states so I just want to confirm for all USA buyers that I have a bonded customs broker on call who will handle all exportation paperwork. I also have a few different shipping/transport companies who can provide quotes on shipping to your doorstep. Please email me via the “Message Seller” button and I will share their contact info and details with you. You have my full support and assistance in this process and getting the car across the border and to you from A to Z. Cheers and happy bidding!
@Ericpfriese good question, this car is a North American standard and as far as I know it meets California emission standards. We can double check with my customs broker as well. Please send me a PM and I will connect you with them. Cheers.
@SamSlHello, just sent you a reply.
@DKK1Congratulations on your winning bid! You got a nice one, I'm sad to see it go :( Thanks to all the bidders!
@CX750 Yes, there are no known issues. All electronics work, tires are almost new and the correct brand and size for C36, brakes are good. Cruise control and all dash lights work, all HVAC functions and buttons work perfect! AC blows cold and all fan levels work. The car has very little wear all around as you can see in the pictures. Power antenna works. 2 way sunroof is in tact, no sagging or slow movement. All windows work as they should. Thanks and happy bidding :)
@AudisportI don't see any messages/emails from your handle in my inbox. Can you please re-send? Thanks
