This 1984 Mercedes-Benz 300D Turbodiesel is finished in Light Ivory (623) over Palomino MB-Tex (154), and power is provided by a 3.0-liter five-cylinder turbodiesel paired with a four-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The car has resided in Arizona and Florida since reporting to Carfax beginning in 2004. Factory equipment includes a power sliding sunroof, central locking, power windows, cruise control, automatic climate control and a Becker radio. Recent maintenance included an inspection and A/C recharge. Now showing just under 235k miles, this 300D is being offered for sale by the current owner with 4 keys, W123 service and repair booklets, a Carfax report and a clean Florida title.
The exterior of this diesel-powered sedan is finished in Light Ivory (623) and features chrome window trim, side molding, and mirror covers. Exterior equipment includes a power sliding sunroof, a heated rear window, a power-passenger side mirror and an automatic antenna. The seller states the exterior shows no signs of rust and the automatic antenna is intermittent.
The factory 14” Bundt alloy wheels have been fitted with a set of Michelin Defenderl tires measuring 195/70 on all four corners and show date codes from 2019. A full-size spare tire is fitted under the trunk floor along with the factory jack. Braking is handled by dual-circuit power-assisted discs on all four corners.
The cabin is trimmed in Palomino MB-Tex (154) with matching carpeting and a contrasting black upper dashboard. Zebrano wood trim can be found lining the interior and shows cracking around the shifter and window switches. Interior appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, a folding center armrest, power windows, central locking and a Becker Grand Prix radio. The seller reports that the central locking system and passenger side rear window regulator have been previously repaired. The A/C was recharged 3 months ago and the seller states there is a freon leak. Other imperfections have been well documented in the gallery including cracks on the dashboard, cracked or missing vanity mirror covers, and wear around the driver door entrance.
The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature and oil pressure. This six-digit mechanical odometer currently shows just under 235k miles.
This W123 is powered by a 3.0-liter five-cylinder turbodiesel engine which is factory rated for 123 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Recent maintenance included an inspection and A/C recharge. The seller notes a leak from the valve cover gasket.
The Carfax report lists first entry in 1993 with one accident report and linear mileage updates since new. This 300D is now being offered for sale by the current owner with 4 keys, W123 service and repair booklets, a Carfax report and a clean Florida title.

@Andrii Very true -- this is 20+ years ago, when I owned mine.
@ljsense Thanks for the wishes. Yes, I would also like these cars to cost $3,000 now. But unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer of them and their price is only increasing.
Had to throw a bid in there -- I've owned three W123s (two wagons and a coupe) and am nostalgic for the days when $3,000 would fetch a nice one like this. Good luck with the auction!

@E430sport Hi, thank you for your interest in the vehicle. AC works nice, but it has a Freon leak. It is enough to fill it up once a year. The leak is indicated in the description of the car. I tried to describe as much as possible about all the car's shortcomings in the description. The photos show its advantages.
Can the seller confirm the a/c is fully functional? Thx
Hi, I’m Andrii and I’m the seller of this beauty. Thank you for the kind words. The car is really very wonderful, very well preserved. Only a few small things need to be paid attention to in order to have a complete W123 with a wonderful OM617. Exterior and interior, engine, gearbox - all these main elements, in very good condition. Thanks again for the good review.
I really hope this car gets some love — it deserves it. I owned one and it was in my top 3 out of all my cars I’ve owned. The OM powered W123s have so much texture, feedback, and personality you can’t help but anthropomorphize these cars. Light ivory is very pretty in person and is a tough paint color. The interior looks very complete too. They’re also so much fun to wrench on. I hope this does well. Good luck.
